Obama’s Coming Break with Israel

First, let me just say that I hope Jackson Diehl of the Washington Post is wrong and that President Obama has no intention of making a dramatic break with Israel in the coming months. But alas, the story he tells is very convincing. According to Diehl, the Obama administration is getting ready to back a U.N. Security Council resolution that would, in his words, “mandate the solution to the questions Israelis and Palestinians have been unable to agree upon for decades, such as the future status of Jerusalem.” Why does this matter? If Israel rejects peace terms imposed on it by outsiders, the effort to turn the Jewish homeland into a pariah state will gain enormous ground. This is a consequence that the president must fully understand. If Obama’s champions are to be believed, he is a subtle strategic thinker with a deep understanding of history. So no, his efforts to radically remake our relationship with Israel isn’t a reflection of ignorance or a lack of familiarity with the basics of the conflict. If the president chooses to pursue this dangerous course, let no American who values our alliance with Israel, or for that matter our national honor, ever forget it.

Second, I had a recent conversation with one of America’s foremost strategic thinkers, and he made a compelling point about the dream of a two-state solution: far from putting an end to anti-Zionist hatred in the region, it would likely inflame it. The compromises the Palestinian leadership would have to make to establish a sovereign state in the West Bank and Gaza (on the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their ancestral homes, on territory, and much else) would prove fatal to its legitimacy. Moreover, to Palestinian nationalists, a truncated state that covers a fifth of Mandatory Palestine is not even close to an end goal. This new state will almost immediately be engulfed in a civil war, which would attract many of the Islamist fighters currently drawn to Iraq and Syria. Has Obama given this frighteningly realistic scenario any real thought. If he has, well, does he fret about it even slightly? I can attest to the fact that many Israelis, Benjamin Netanyahu very much included, think about it all the time.

While we’re on the subject of the Obama administration and Israel, I’d like to point you to a Boston Globe column by Jeff Jacoby, in which he observes that while Netanyahu has apologized for his remarks about Arab voters “heading to the polls in droves,” President Obama has yet to apologize for his own incendiary remarks. And there’s much more.

THings have happened in our lifetime that are clearly a sign, starting with the jews returning to their homeland. That was unthinkable, as was the fall of the USSR. And now we have the ME on the brink of war.

And this idiot is still blaming Bush. Had we stayed in Iraq we could have stabilized that country as we did in post war Germany and Japan and Phillipines and South Korea.

Nukes, eh?

Well, if Israel were to be goaded/threatened into using nuclear weapons....

“The American public really can not and should not expect a sitting president 0bama to leave office and thus abandon the country in such perilous times.”

That might the gist of a NYTimes editorializing on why 0bama simply must not leave office in Jan 2017.

Could fashioning plausible reason for 0bama (and her) to remain in power be ValJar’s end game goal?

“he is a subtle strategic thinker with a deep understanding of history. “

Coming form his supporters, this typifies their delusion. Even if the US fails to support Israel in the UN, I doubt anything will happen. Israel is a leading technological state so I doubt a UN lead alliance could result in economic sanctions. Accepting UN troops to help set up a Palestinian state would not be well received in Israel especially when you consider that most of the participating UN forces would be from Africa and the ME.

Turning Israel into a pariah state is one of the worst thing that the US and UN could do. Of course, Israel has nukes and advanced technology that could be sold on the underground market or to other pariah states. Other advanced weapons technologies- drones, cyber weapons, bioweapons could in up in the hands of US enemies.

0bama IS the biggest threat to US security we have seen since Nazi Germany. He is intentionally and singlehandedly weakening the country economically, financially, military, and diplomatically. It is the US that seems to be turning into a pariah state.

0bama’s NPD and immaturity seem to be behind the rift with Bibi. Although 0bama has his nefarious puppet masters (Jarrett, Soros etc.), his reaction to Bibi seems to be driven by a purely personal affront rather than the devices of a clever diplomatic schemer. He’s no Bismarck; he’s a moronic spoiled child foolishly playing with armies and nukes.

I don’t really understand why there’s been in my lifetime so much concern for a Palestinian state. What is the real issue here.

Years ago, when Arafat was still alive and kicking, there was some talk of land being set aside for the Palestinians and all Arafat had to do was sign it and he refused. (I cannot remember the particular details, unfortunately - it just struck me as completely odd).

It was one of those "what-the-hell" moments. They have been griping and whining and bombing to get their way and Arafat turns his nose up at it. It was almost as if with all their yammering and bomb-throwing, a land of their own is not what they really want.

What we are seeing is a bunch of Chicago communists fronted by Iranian born Valerie Jarrett trying to destroy the Jewish state.

It seems like the prize is Jerusalem. You destroy Jerusalem, you destroy religion. Sounds like a good goal for the Communists.

Referring to ME "peace plans" it is said of the Palestinians that they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

“THings have happened in our lifetime that are clearly a sign”

The most glaring sign of all is the rise to power of a man
previously unknown and from unknown origin. A man who is
totally unqualified to hold the position he holds and who
literally stole the election that put him there and remains
there unopposed. What biblical prophesy predicted
U.S. President B. Hussein Obama?

If Obama pulls this stunt I think you are going to see the demise of the democratic party, which is already on the decline. Just look who they’ve go running for offices.

We are seeing the last generation of white liberal leadership of the Democratic Party. The dems long ago committed to identity politics as a device to mobilize a majority-minority base. And they have labored long and hard to turn the country majority-minority as well. But the aging white liberals are dying out and will not much longer control what is now primarily a black-Hispanic coalition, with the unions and militant feminists thrown in.

The big question for America's future is whether Hispanics, and especially the Hispanic leadership, will look at what the dems' dependency/vote buying agenda has done to the black community, and decide that is what they want for their own future. The jury is still out. The current black political model will appeal to corrupt leadership elements who view government as a kickback and protection racket to enrich themselves. But if the Hispanic leadership actually wants progress for their people, they may draw other conclusions.

God has promised to protect Israel and he will. Americans need to stand up and declare our allegiance to Israel. We need to repent and ask forgiveness for having turned away from Him. Our survival depends on it.
If we seek His forgiveness He will heal our land.
Let’s all say a prayer today for Israel and healing.

This is why they are desparate to get amnesty passed and obamacare to keep people on the dole to vote for them.

Republicans MUST see that these are the most important issues of this election and beyond.

ANYONE (REPUBLICAN) FOR AMNESTY, IE A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP IS CRAZY, PERIOD!
