WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO HARRY REID? PART 2
Powerline ^ | Mar. 28, 2015 | John Hinderaker

Posted on 03/29/2015 6:30:55 AM PDT by libstripper

Scott wrote here about Harry Reid’s announcement that he will not run for re-election, a decision which, Reid was quick to say, was not the result of his “elastic exercise band” accident. In January, I wrote OK, So What Really Happened to Harry Reid? I noted the injuries that Reid suffered on New Year’s Day, in Las Vegas: multiple broken bones around his right eye, damage to the right eye, severe facial bruising, broken ribs, and a concussion. Was all of this really the result of losing his balance because an elastic exercise band broke? That seems unlikely, to say the least.

The timing of the incident on New Year's Day is important. It would have been close to the last day of the "old" (2014) Senate session, since the "new" Senate convened on January 3rd and any Senators who were newly-elected in November 2014 would be formally assuming office on the 3rd.

That lends some credence to the story about Reid being unable to deliver some kind of favors to some shady characters.

All along, I assumed that he was falling-down drunk or something like that -- either from a New Year's Eve celebration, his despondence about losing control of the Senate, or both.

Isn’t the ‘dirty’ senator in one of the Godfather movies based on Dirty Harry?

Thought I heard something about that. . .

Mrs. Chandler just said he must have had that rubber band stretched out a mile with something attached to it, to which I added, yeah, a bowling ball:

“A comment on the article said that any dem would go running off to sue the exercise equipment co. He didn’t.”

I said as much on a couple early threads as well. A scumbag like Dingy would have the best personal injury laywer on this within 48 hours.

‘Isn’t the ‘dirty’ senator in one of the Godfather movies based on Dirty Harry?”

The movie was Casino, 1995. His character was played by Dick Smothers, of The Smothers Bros. fame.

Personally, I think Harry Reid got his ass kicked for failing to deliver to his mob patrons.

Exactly. Further, the mob and he knows; 'go ahead, open your mouth, or even come after us'. See what happens to your kids or even grandkids. Who whacked him has NO fear or retaliation because: A] they have more on Reid than he has on them, and, B] Reid won't dare do anything, for fear of what happens next. What happened to his face is a slap on the wrist.

True, but he didn’t describe being on a treadmill. He said it was some kind of machine that involved elastic bands, one of which failed.
