The “Conci-urge Scene” in the ORIGINAL Movie “The Producers” was hysterical. I was so disappointed that both the stage musical and the new er movie dropped the scene without so much as a how-de-do!

I have yet another request:
I do not now remember if it was the “AHC” channel or “The Military History Channel”. On the ending credits of each episode of “The Revolutionary War” series there is a very haunting song sung by a female with a falsetto voice. The only lyrics that I think I remember are, “Johnny is lost a soldier,” which makes no sense. ( ????? )
I have looked for it high and low but because I do not know the name, I am lost. I even went to the two respective websites but could find nothing.
Do you have any ideas?

Imagine that movie...barely 2 decades after the end of WW2...
No matter how much Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick put into their roles there is no way they could match the shock and impact of the original. (IMNSHO, of course!)

Mel Brooks’ goal was to take every cliché about the Broadway stage and turn it upside down. The classic line is, “What did I do right?!”

I love Mel Brooks. I have loved him for over half a century. I have loved him since “Get Smart”!
I have been told i have a twisted sense of humor, but I can’t hold a candle to Mel.

It is a funny thing to me (not funny ha ha, but funny peculiar)...
Of course, I like the Fleetwood Mack version, because,
in my mind, that is how it is ‘supposed to be’.
Listening to the other versions (which are not really very different),
I think the Leo Kottke version sounds good.
I don’t think I ever heard any of those other versions before.

"Your Show of Shows" was on too late for me to see as a child on TV, or else I would have kept an eye on him during the Golden Age of Television. "Ten from 'Your Show of Shows'" is a classic movie. It's a joy to watch Caesar, Brooks, Reiner, Coca and Morris at work.
This is one of my favorites, written by Brooks and the rest of Caesar's team, to include Neil Simon and Woody Allen.
