Reports this morning suggested the pilot may have been badly affected by a "relationship crisis" and was struggling to cope following a break-up with his girlfriend - who he was due to marry next year.
He is said to have shared an apartment in Dusseldorf - the destination of the doomed plane - with a woman whose surname is Goldbach.
Reports suggested there was a "violent struggle" between the two airmen, who were "shouting at each other" moments before impact.

Me, too.
They’re trying too hard. Story after story.
Nope....
They made a point of saying Goldbach was not his GF, only a roomate.
Lots of reports to whip up this story...it does keep the public engaged.
Still...he had any number of options rather than take down 150 people with him...and time to consider what he was doing as well...he made his choice and for that a murderer.
DailyMailUK reports that he bought 2 brand new Audi vehicles — one for himself a few weeks ago and one for his girlfriend last weekend. It was delivered to her 3 days before Lubitz committed the mass murder by plane.
After quickly scanning the article, I did not see any reference as to whether he financed the vehicle(s) or paid cash for them.
She must have pegged him for a nutcase. :-/
Well that'll show her!

That doesn’t matter. She still has a Jewish name and shared a house with him.
I imagine there were pix and other interesting info on his now deleted FB page. Deleted before his name was released IIRC .
We will have to wait for some facts before we can argue. The Muslims have the track record and MO for this type of stuff. Goldbach was not in the cockpit.
Y/eah, that crossed my id but ... :o)
It’s almost as if they are looking for a reason to love the guy.
I don’t think he was a Muzzie convert. Muzzie or not, he was deranged. If he was a Muzzie, he was doubly deranged.
You got to admit, Muzzies have the track record. Before 911 WE trained them to fly in the air. They had no interest in takeoff and landings at the time. Now they figured out a way to get into the cockpit legally.
thanks..that article is a stuff read. I don’t know if they intermingled the words pilot and co-pilot.
stuff = tuff
I agree. And this guy was not very experienced in that particular airplane.
He was experienced enough to fly it into that mountain and experienced enough to lock out the Captain of the plane.

That was my point.
