The latest revelations over Germanwings flight 4U9525 crash have turned the focus on the pilots, but the German budget carrier has so far refused to identify them.
One of the pilots was locked out of the cockpit moments before the crash, the data from the cockpit voice recorder has reportedly revealed, placing the pilots at the focal point of the investigation.
However, the company has refrained from disclosing the identity of the pilots.
According to the New York Times , data showed the pilot inside the cabin ignored the appeals of his colleague to open the cabin door. As time lapsed the pilot tried to smash the door but failed to get through -- all this happening during the ominous few minutes before the crash that killed 150 people.

No, the answer more likely lies in what Lubitz says just before impact. That aircraft did not hit the ground in a descent. It was pitched down in a vertical dive into the ground. That is what the debris field looks like.
My guess is there is something said just before that, that we will never be told. Something that starts with the name of the Arabian moon-god. If the head of the CIA and the POTUS can be a muzzie, why can’t a 28 year old German be?
“And for hoots, they still produce Audis, Mercedes, VW, BMWs - some of the worlds finest vehicles.”
All with throw away unrebuildable engines. Superior german engineering!!
I'll bet Lock mode can't be overridden from the outside.
Does debris pattern look like it was shot down?
A fighter jet can see into the cockpit.
The thing I know about Airbus planes is they are fly by wire. I am wondering if the computer was fighting a downward push on the yoke?
I am not sure the pilot could turn it off. Perhaps he was unconscious and laying against the controls.
I doubt we will ever know.
It's rare but not impossible. I know someone who had a stroke at about that age, or even younger.
More likely a Fez Head. Lots of Turks in Germany...
Did the airbus you flew have the same cockpit door security as in Post 7?
Yes. If they don’t already give these pilots tests to determine their mental health, they should.
Maybe he was thinking of becoming a Doctor at one point.
Lubitz when right from flight school into this airline.
The video says otherwise.
Yes. ICAO standard. All the manufacturers use a similar system.
