Apparently it is again okay to use the pejorative uppity against Americans who are members of a racial minority group. Ted Cruz is a historic Senator and presidential candidate, the first Cuban-American to join either club, and for that reason (and his unapologetic conservatism) the media is out for blood. The New Yorker went so far as to describe Cruz with the racial pejorative uppity.
The conventional wisdom is that Cruz hasnt got a chance, and, as far as the Presidency goes, its probably accurate. To many Americans, he is the uppity loudmouth who, in the fall of 2013, less than a year into his first term as a senator, helped bring the federal government to a halt.

Of course, this isn’t a racist comment because they’re part of the “enlightened totalitarian” class. It’s different “rules” for those in the “loving cloud” and those who float when they walk dimension. They’re just that “special” like that.
I so want to see that family in the White House.
So far the left has declared Senator Cruz to be a stupid, uppity foreigner. Haw much more flak can they shoot at him?
The racist New Yorker thinks Hispanics should learn their “place”.
I will never step foot in that cess pit again.
People are rude, traffic is awful, and the prices are expensive. There are so many places which deserve my money other than the socialist crap hole of there.

But I was rather amused when I perused my local lib rag this morning and read a host of lib articles by lib scribblers thoroughly horrified at the prospect of a Cruz presidency. "He might destroy the IRS" one of them wailed in her column this morning. "How is the country going to collect taxes if there's no IRS?" she queried hysterically. I've paraphrased some of her words, but the gist is the same.
Yes, that's right reforming (or eliminating) the IRS would just be awful, wouldn't it? Can't have any reform of maybe the most incompetent and untrustworthy fed. gov. bureaucratic institution. But we can have a brand new socialist health-care system, can't we. No problem there.
White liberals only like people of color when they stay in the hood, the barrios, and on the other side of town away from their gated communities. They like people of color when they know their “place” and are subservient to the liberal plantation. Once you stray away and start thinking for yourself,a la Ted Cruz, or start challenging them for higher offices such as senator or governor then they go after you with extra venom.
He is a bit uppity. We need uppity. They just don’t appreciate his politics, intelligence, and the challenge he presents.
Sorry, the FedGov DID NOT come to a halt. Far as I can tell, most people didn't notice. Which brings up another thought...
In my senior year of high school and continuing for several years, I actually paid good money to subscribe to The New Yorker.
Why? As a Southerner, I thought it might help elevate me into an understanding of the type of liberal society I so much wished to be a part of. I liked the cartoons.
Things have changed for the better.
Also, I kept hoping J.D. Salinger might write something new in the mag as he had before.
It’s good to see how much the left fears him the sting of truth just drives them battier.
You’re right - liberal elites hate Cubans...
ahahahahahaha I remember the cartoons from back in the early 70’s
Use that word on Barky and see what happens. :-)
