Ted Cruz, the Republican Senator from Texas who announced his 2016 candidacy for President Monday, gave a visual shout out to San Francisco in the first video released from his campaign.
Images of iconic American landmarks dot the video. Moments after the Golden Gate Bridge is shown, Cruz says, "It's going to take a new generation of courageous conservatives to help make America great again and I'm ready to stand with you to lead the fight
28.4 percent of California's 17.7 million voters were registered Republican in 2014, according to the Public Policy Institute of California.
"It may be that at this early stage in the game, the Cruz camp had to grab whatever third-rate video editor they could find to throw something together with stock video reels, and the direction was just 'images of different coast-to-coast locales, and American flags,'" reasoned SFist.

"We are outraged and offended that a Republican would use our bridge in a political ad. We demand that he cease and desist immediately.

Maybe Cruz’ electoral map includes California.
Reagan’s did.
It is better that ceding all the states to Dems and fight only over Ohio, Virginia, Missouri and the other handful of battleground states.

He’s just showing Peter King which bridge King should jump off of.

I don't care about percentages, political leanings, or past votes from anybody.
Hearts and minds are all up for a challenge with the right candidate.
If Cruz brings back Patriotism it will be a landslide election.

He gave them a hissy fit. I’d imagine there’ll be no end of liberal hissy fits as his campaign progresses.

The MSM bullies are really grasping for ways to demonize and/or mock Cruz.
To: nickcarraway
The problem with that is?
California is still part of the US I think.

"He gave them a hissy fit. Id imagine therell be no end of liberal hissy fits as his campaign progresses."
Every day, there are about a dozen more hissy fits posted here, and that's probably just the tip of the iceberg. We may be finally entering the post-Palin-derangement-syndrome era; all that venom is being transferred to Cruz.
To: nickcarraway
Would it have been more acceptable if Cruz showed touted the Light Rail project?
