Despite being vehemently opposed to Obamacare, Ted Cruz is signing up for insurance under President Obamas health care law.
The Texas Republican Senator and newly-announced presidential candidate, known for his staunch opposition to the Affordable Care Act, told CNN on Tuesday that he will be joining the millions of Americans enrolled in insurance under the law.

“Regardless, the location of their HQ is irrelevant. Employees health insurance is typically based on where they live/work, not where the company is headquartered.”
Untrue, I believe I posted to you a bit ago about this. I work for a company headquartered out of Boston, the health plan offered by my employer is also based out of Massachusetts. I work and live in MN. Sometimes it’s a real pain getting healthcare facilities here to bill properly because of it.
First I tried my nether regions, then I looked it up under sarcasm. So odd, there it was...
I would like to know how much it costs for a family of four and maybe the cost of maternity care on the no-care plans.
The poster was NOT alleging that were broke.
Ted is not brain dead like Ben Carson. If he’s doing this, you can bet it’s for a damn good reason that the left and GOPe will be whining about in a week.
I am amazed. She quit a job at Goldman Sachs, he has a congressional salary, and they don’t have enough money saved up to afford health insurance. Give me a break! Also, I also want to know the answer to what insurance people have in Congress.
Just announced: He HAS to sign up for Obamacare because he is Federal Employee/Senator whose spouse no longer has insurance. The Republicans put that rule in the Obamacare package. There is no choice here, unless he wants to pay fines. He’s under a microscope and media is watching. Mr. Cruz is stuck.
Just announced (yes, it was Glenn Beck, but he’s probably right on this): He HAS to sign up for Obamacare because he is Federal Employee/Senator whose spouse no longer has insurance. They were on her insurance.

No. They have to sign up for ObamaCare, I think.
I believe they tried to exempt themselves.
Cruz is legally-required to sign up, since he no longer has insurance through his wife.
Cruz is legally required to sign up. You propose he break the law?
Based on his history as I understand it I DON’T believe he meets the FOUNDERS definition of natural born citizen, nor do I believe Rubio does but were he a Democrat it would not be a problem. No straight thinking person believes Obama has established that he is a natural born citizen, only those who believe what they WANT to believe think so. Therefore I am going to pay no attention to those who question whether Cruz is natural born and I expect that at this point any court would likely rule in his favor.
“The Law” doesn’t require you to sign up for Obamacare. You can get your own private insurance. And I’m sure, in his case, that a private policy would be cheaper.
Also, doesn’t Congress offer policy’s for their members? If so, he can’t sign up under Obamacare. He has to know this. Have to see how this shakes out. Basically, he’s out to prove a point. Which, I think, is that for the majority of folks Obamacare does nothing expect raise premiums, reduce services and raise deductibles.
At least, that’s what it did for my policy at work. Which, BTW, I pay for.
Oh, never mind. I certainly am not an expert on that zillion page debacle. ;)
“There is no choice here, unless he wants to pay fines.”
So, there was a choice. A hard choice with fines of a couple of grand.
[T]he throne of iniquity frames mischief by a law Psalm 94:20.
That’s what I think! He will show the country just how well O Care works.
You first.
Howdy Dawg Brother Sarge...
That list of grievances is as true today as it was in 1776...
Think he will be leaving positive feedback on the Obama web site? :-)
Ummmm... that is a doctor who accepts the plans offered as Obamacare plans. Not nonsense at ALL. Dr. Atlas can shrug and has been shrugging. Have you been watching current events?
