A five acre square would only be about 155 yards on a side, that sounds like scattering upon impact, certainly not from an explosion at altitude. Five acres is NOT a very large area, to anyone who grew up in farm country it is a postage stamp size lot. There is a QVC distribution warehouse near here that covers over TWENTY acres and that is just the building itself, not the parking lots etc.
I would keep my powder dry, if I were you. There are many wild stories afoot all over the place!!! The latest I noticed was “a failed windscreen”!!! After more then fifty years in aircraft maintenance...what in God’s name is a windscreen. Methinks they are ranting about a cockpit windshield failure, and, although i have heard of windshield shatters and seen many windows crack and blur out......but I have never seen or heard of any window blowing out in the cockpit. Cockpit windows are made with multiple layers of glass product...that are radically designed to withstand cracking, etc, but that will never blow out!!!
I think a broad cover-up is crawling forth!!! The authorities are frightened to death, that this was a terror incident...and it could be!!! I felt confident the black boxes would tell all...but....that route seems to fading quickly...because of severe damage to both black boxes!!! Eight minutes is a rather long time for a flight crew not being able to get one word out about their flight condition and a very long time for some aware passengers not to cell phone loved ones!!!
I believe we will never really know what happened on that aircraft....just as is the situation with many other rcent aircraft incidents & accidents. Obama must have put the screwas to the Spanish, French and Germans to shut their mouths....while he makes love to Iran. Who knows???
Ah, windscreen——you have to speak Limey to verstehen “windscreen.” It’s anything that’s in front of your face when you’re in a vehicle.
An “A” check is a very light maintenance check (Overnight). The cockpit windows would most likely be checked during a “B”, “C” or, “D” check, not on a “A” check. IMHO, the incident had nothing to do with the aircraft maintenance procedure!!! Stay tuned, the BS stories are ramping up. big time!!!
THey demand it be called an act by voilent extremists. Calling them Muslims is racist. That is why they are upset.
is it me, but there has been quite a few planes going down lately.
I guess it is relative...when you have so few, several in a year seems like a lot?!? 2014: safest year for jet travel ever according to this: http://www.usatoday.com/story/todayinthesky/2015/03/10/2014-jet-accident-rate-lowest-in-history-iata-says/24708855/

Drudge is saying a memory card is missing from the second box!
Greta on Fox just reported that one of the pilots left the cockpit and couldn’t get back in.
As this process moves along, and with the latest statement from those authorities listening to the voice recorder......this incident is sounding more & more like a terrorist undertaking. Could be wrong.....but we shall see.
The “Obama” (administration) jumped out so quickly to declare this was no terror incident.......awakened the alarm in me, that...yes, this could be a hi-jacking, and planned slaughter. Obama cannot chance a massive terror act, while he coddles up to the Iranians, giving away our security!!! Remember, Bergdahl folks.....Obama lies....all the time!!!
Terrorist or suicide.
I agree with what you are saying. Thanks.
The above said, commercial airlines today offer phone service right from the seat your sitting in. So why didn't someone pick up one of the many phones attached to a seatback and let someone what was happening?
That's an interesting question, considering the amount of time anyone would have had to do so. So, could the pilot alone in the cockpit have turn off those phones? If so, and he did, there might be telephone logs showing a dropped carrier. Shutting down the onboard phones might indicate the act was intentional, not medically related.
I'm not familar with the onboard phone systems used in some aircraft, but if a pilot didn't have the ability to shut it down, even if by pulling the circuit breaker, I would be very much surprised.
Oh ok I guess it was me. Thanks for the link!
