If I remember correctly, Boeing had a number of problems with cockpit windows on the 777--serious enough that they went to a lot of engineering work to get that problem fixed. I do think Airbus will look at the A-check maintenance procedures done on the plane just before it flew to Barcelona and make sure the entire procedure on that maintenance was done correctly.

An “A” check is a very light maintenance check (Overnight). The cockpit windows would most likely be checked during a “B”, “C” or, “D” check, not on a “A” check. IMHO, the incident had nothing to do with the aircraft maintenance procedure!!! Stay tuned, the BS stories are ramping up. big time!!!
