Democrats delighted by Ted Cruz’s statements on climate change

The war of words over climate change is getting blisteringly hot between Gov. Jerry Brown and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, with the Republican presidential candidate blithely dismissing the Democratic governor as one of those “global warming alarmists” who relies on ridicule and insult.

A Brown campaign strategist shot back Monday that the “factually irrational” Cruz is apparently now determined to “stand out from a pack of troglodytes in the GOP race for the White House.”

The public slap down — and the dis of Brown — came as Cruz formally announced his run for the White House at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., becoming the first Republican to jump into the 2016 race.

Cruz was responding to Brown’s statements on “Meet the Press” Sunday, when he launched into a verbal beat down of Cruz when asked about the senator’s recent observation that in New Hampshire, there was “snow and ice everywhere,” more evidence that “there’s been zero warming.”

“That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data,” Brown told host Chuck Todd. “It’s shocking, and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”

Cruz shot back, telling Sirius XM radio’s “Breitbart News Sunday” that “global warming alarmists” like Brown “ridicule and insult anyone who actually looks at the real data,” and engage in “ad hominem attacks.” Cruz insisted global warming isn’t happening, even though “apocolypic computer models said we should see substantial warming.”

take the same graph and overlay the total number of wind generators by capacity for each year.

Then get back to me. OR... even better...

He’s already getting a ton of heat from the libs. I’ve seen countless postings already on Huffington about his eligibility. He’s going to have to hold a press conference and kill this off.

Check the solubility curve of CO2 in water. Hmm?

Really? You don’t get it? Cruz is staking his position because, although you’d never hear it from the media, most Americans think “climate change” is a crock. Appealing to the majority can be a really good strategy.

Yes! Good one! To counter global warming one must increase the population of pirates!

On par with the Bortkiewicz study of the number of Prussian soldier deaths by horse kicks in the late 19th Century.

Global Warming is ultimately to be blamed on Ninjas for causing global Pirate depopulation... hence, Global Inferno.

He needs to go straight at them, it isn’t that the climate isn’t warming, it is it isn’t warming enough to validate the models of ca strophic man made warming.

The Entire Theory of Global Warming and the Economic Models the Fed use are incredibly similar. The biggest difference is the solutions being pushed/chosen.

Water has a "triple point" at which it may exist simultaneously as a solid, a liquid, and a gaseous vapor

True at earth's normal atmospheric pressures and temperatures. CO2 has a triple point as well, but would only be present high on a mountain in Antarctica if that. But the reason that CO2 has outsized importance for its concentration is water's triple point.

That is because CO2 is always there and water vapor condenses high up leading to net global cooling. The water cycle is part of earth's warming and cooling systems and CO2 has a mostly warming role.

Temperatures have been increasing, so has the level of CO2 in the atmosphere

Temperature did not cause the CO2 rise. It would have caused 5-10 ppm rise if mankind were not around. Instead we have a 120ppm rise and rising. Luckily although temperature rises cause small CO2 rises, CO2 rises don't do much to temperature. A modest rise of no concern to anyone, with predicted rises shown to be wrong year after year.

Sorry, it would have to be a low valley in Antarctica. TO reach the triple point for CO2 would require low temperature and high pressure.

Insane hippie Jerry Brown showed up with 18 dumptruck loads of irony when he said “Cruz is ‘absolutely unfit’ for office.

The hilarious thing is that he believes this (or pretends to) because he thinks the Global Warming Scam is real!!!!

Jerry Brown is only fit to be an extra in a Cheech & Chong movie...

...if they ever make another one.

If Democrats were as smart as they think they are, this would be Jerry's only option in life other than a padded cell.
