I was watching on a documentary on the SS on Nat Geo or Smithsonian. I was thinking how similar the ideology of ISIS is with the Nazis. Both want to revive a past that never existed. Both want to eliminate the evolution of civilization and society from that mythical past. The Nazia wanted to replace Christianity with a perverted form of the Nordic pagan religion. ISIS wants to eliminate all the developments in Islamic thought and ideology. People talk about ISIS wants to go back to the Medieval era. If that was true that would be an improvement over the current state as Arab civilization was the most advanced in terms of philosophy, medicine, science, etc. A Catholic nun who visited Cordoba in Spain during its height described it as "Jewel of the World". The Arabs burst out of the Arabian peninsula and liked what they saw so they tried to imitiate it. But ISIS wants nothing to do with that.
