On Sunday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is expected to be the first candidate to formally enter the 2016 campaign on Monday at Liberty University, called on courageous conservatives to help take back the country from elites who place their faith in government instead of the American people.
Appearing on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Cruz told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama believe in government more than the American people.
They believe that elites in Washington can govern every aspect of our life, Washington knows better and it needs to control the economyit needs to control every basic detail of our lives, he said.
In contrast, Cruz, whom the late Andrew Breitbart viewed as the future of the conservative movement, said, I believe in the Constitution. I believe in the unlimited potential of free men and free women.
He said the miracle of America is that we have been a land for centuries where millions of people have come from all over the world with nothing and have been able to achieve anything. Cruz added that we need to reignite the promise of America and there is an incredible potential to do so if courageous conservatives will simply stand up.
I am convinced that courageous conservatives coming together can bring us back to the free-market principles and constitutional liberties that this country was founded on, Cruz said.
When Bannon asked the Texas Senatorwho has taken heat from the D.C. establishment for not wavering from his conservative principles, especially in his opposition to amnesty for illegal immigrants and Obamacarehow someone who graduated from Harvard and Princeton can resonate like he does with working-class Americans, Cruz said it is because he always remembers where he camefrom.

Supported same pathway to citizenship that Marco Jeb Rubio does PING!
Canadian citizenship PING!
2.5 years in the Senate PING!
State your opinion. Spamming threads is pretty low class for someone who has been around a long time.
Thanks
I don’t know about the time of the announcement, but he is scheduled to discuss it on Hannity after the announcement.
It won’t matter who the moderator is; Ted is more than capable of holding his own.
Funny how they never asked Obama that question.
I like that Cruz/Walker.
Walker is strong, but he needs to toughen up a bit more. Ted will help Scott with that.
Cruz to victory!
Pray America is waking
Ditto!!!! We are behind you Ted!!!!!!
Together we will TAKE BACK AMERICA!!!!!
The statements I posted are true. Ted Cruz supports unrestricted legal immigration and increasing H1-B visas to foreign workers. His wife is CFR and on the board of Gilman Sachs, liberals will bring up his Canadian citizenship and his just being elected 2.5 years ago.
I am 100% behind Ted Cruz as of now
I keep hearing this scripture, “How do you know you were not born for such a time as this”.
“Toughen up a bit?”
Are you high or drunk?
Walker kicked union ass. When Cruz signs legislation defeating the Left get back to me.
He’s already taken care of that; renounced Canadian citizenship.
Now, he’s only an American Citizen; which he acquired because his mother was an American Citizen when he was born.
Nix the Canadian citizenship CRAP - he’s already renounced it .. and it’s a DEAD issue.
As for his wife; I’m not voting for her - and I’m sure she will resign shortly.
And as for the 2.5 years in the Senate - I know a couple dozen people who’ve been in the Senate most of their lives and they don’t have one-tenth the brains.
If I were from Wisconsin I don't think I would want to give Walker up.
See you CAN put all your thoughts in one post. That wasn’t so hard, was it?
