Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) has launched an investigation into alleged quid pro quo hiring and misuse of federal asset forfeiture funds at the US Marshals Service.
In a letter sent to the U.S. Marshals Service Thursday, Grassley requested records in response to whistleblower allegations that senior officials in the services Asset Forfeiture Division (AFD) engaged in improper hiring practices.

Yes. Government has effectively defeated Organized Crime, by literally BECOMING Organized Crime.

Corruption is everywhere. No wonder America’s almost bled dry. Thieves and perverts in charge of our nation. They got too greedy and we see them...

The concept of asset forfeiture in and of itself invites abuse and is not the American way. It needs to be stopped.

Trust me, the Asset Forfeiture Division is as far away from what the US Marshals Service actually does as it could be.
Its a DC seized asset cache run by DC people who happen to wear the same shield but wouldn’t be able to find a fugitive in a phone booth.
Comparing them to me is like comparing Captain Crunch to General Patton - they’re boh TECHNICALLY military men...
The jackhole who said different badge, same crap or words to that effect ought to come out of their moms basements little more often. Maybe read the local news out of Baton Rouge last week to figure out what we ACTUALLY do.

When you get the assets you seize, there will be no abuse of power there. It worked out well for the pirates.

I'm not into Law enforcement enforcing laws against others, and making myself exempt.
I do practice integrity by example.

Abuse of power? No! It can't be! They have the ability to grant people up to a 6 figure federal government job, a badge, a national concealed carry weapon, assignment in any of the 50 states, and a fat pension with fat benefits. I wouldn't be surprised to find that a big kickback operation was going on. Plus they get their hands on all that forfeiture cash and property, without due process. I'm sure they would be extra careful to avoid the appearance of impropriety because of the potential for abuse[/s]
To: MaxMax
And I’m assuming you have complete control over your contemporaries at every level as well, huh?
You make an ignorant arguement.
