California Gov. Jerry Brown said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz's position on climate change makes him "absolutely unfit to be running for office."
Responding to comments made by Cruz on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Democratic Governor Brown said of Cruz, "That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data. It's shocking and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office."
A long-time environmentalist, Brown is dealing with a severe drought in California. He recently announced a $1 billion aid package to help affected residents and prepare for flooding
Brown said the drought being experienced in California could be traced to the buildup of carbon from coal and other sources, and that leaders need to take measures to prevent dire consequences.
"This is a serious matter we're experiencing in California, as kind of a foretaste. But there is no doubt that into the future, we're going to have more problems," he said.
Fixed it.
California deserves Jerry Brown and visa versa.
Did Ted’s former law professor Alan Denrtoeriz said that Ted was finest student he ever taught you had google it it in long time ago interview somebody interview his professor
I can handle that just so long as I hear on November 8, 2016: Outta nowhere. A former senator, now, about to become the President. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Jerry Jerry Jerry, you single handily helped destroy this state, he has one to talk about ANYONE..Doesn’t Jerry Brown have anything better to do, like let more illegals into California so they can vote Democrat
He has an endless water supply. All he needs to do is build desalination plants but he chooses to let the land go to dust.
Oh yeah, brilliant governing, Moonbeam!
Another ringing endorsement from the rabid left. GO TED!!
Seems like Brown is an expert on being unfit to be President, as determined by the voters 40 years ago!
“California Uber Alles” - Dead Kennedys
I am Governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles
And never frowns
Soon I will be president...
Carter Power will soon go away
I will be Fuhrer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school
Your kids will meditate in school!
[Chorus:]
California Uber Alles
California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California
Uber Alles California
Zen fascists will control you
100% natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face
Close your eyes, can’t happen here
Big Bro’ on white horse is near
The hippies won’t come back you say
Mellow out or you will pay
Mellow out or you will pay!
[Chorus]
Now it is 1984
Knock-knock at your front door
It’s the suede/denim secret police
They have come for your uncool niece
Come quietly to the camp
You’d look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don’t you worry, it’s only a shower
For your clothes here’s a pretty flower.
DIE on organic poison gas
Serpent’s egg’s already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown
When you mess with President Brown
Wasn’t Redford’s character in the 1972 movie “The Candidate” a thinly-disguised Moonbeam?
So I thought the reason for the heavy snows over the past few years was because warmer air can hold more moisture. That is what your scientists said Jerry. He are the facts dude, the Earth is cooling. Colder air and water overall means less water vapor. Less moisture. More drought. So you can kiss your state goodbye moron. It is mostly desert.
I go with mentally ill fraud.
That statement, in and of itself, as coming from Moonbeam Brown, is enough to prompt me to push for Cruz to win the nomination and to get my vote.
Part of it is that the Fed’s and State are restricting water to ranchers and farmers, thus forcing them to drill deeper and deeper water wells. When you remove the waters that they were receiving from the snowmelts and reservoirs that the government has blocked, then it changes the overall local climate. Therefore, brown is right, it is man-made climate change, but not from coal or oil, but from liberal politicians...
Rollins is a very shrewd political odds-maker and I pay attention to what he's thinking. Much will depend on how things sort out with Hillary and whether John Kerry gets his Iranian peace deal. If he does a Nobel Peace Prize will follow and he's likely to jump into the Presidential race. It's getting very interesting.
Jerry Brown has ordered the release of 40,000 criminals. There were enough common sense among others that these prisoners are being put in local, city jails instead of the streets as Jerry Brown wants.
It is with great disappointment that we now say we never will, I don't see it changing.
Here’s my personal message to Moonbeam:
Hey, Edmund G. Jr., You’ve always been an idiot, and now to compound matters, you’ve gone senile.
You’ve either got a lot of nerve or no sense of shame to speak about anyone else’s lack of care about “the environment”. Actually, in your case, both examples apply.
Let’s address your “legacy” project, your beloved “high speed bullet train that isn’t really a high speed train to nowhere” that will never actually be built. Why do we need it? Because YOU like trains? No, YOU need it to line the pockets of your cronies because they need taxpayer money to keep funding crooked politicians like you. On the face of it, it’s a stupid idea to begin with. Who in their right mind is going to spend 5-6 hours and several stops/transfers going from L.A. to S.F. on a train when you can get on and off an airplane and be there in about an hour for about $30?
Even if this stupid train did get built, it will always be a drain on the taxpayers because there are no passenger trains that are profitable and able to run without subsidies.
We need it to transport the additional 20 million California residents that will be here in the future? Pray tell, great leader, what are those additional 20 million California residents going to drink when they get here? BTW, Governor, illegal aliens need water to drink too.
Here’s an idea. How about doing something useful and funnel the taxpayer money to your cronies to build and connect an aqueduct or pipeline from Oregon or anywhere else with an abundance of water that they’d like to sell and send it down south to us? There’s already an aqueduct that sends water south, all you need to do is extend it a bit farther north. It’s win/win/win/win. You can still hook up your cronies, they can still funnel the bucks to you, whoever we buy the water they don’t need makes money, and we peasants don’t die of thirst.
Let’s picture this possible scenario. Water becomes so scarce and expensive that millions of productive people here in the south flee to somewhere else because the desert is reclaiming the land. Many people that work for a living won’t be able to move north because there aren’t enough jobs, but many people live here because they make their living off government support. Prepare for millions of the most unproductive to head north because that’s where the water is.
I shouldn’t have to tell you this, but without the tax base of the south, you pukes up north wouldn’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.
That you’ve managed to spend your entire life without having a job that wasn’t funded by taxpayers is an amazing feat. That said, it doesn’t change the fact that without the government teat to suckle, you wouldn’t have been able to inflict so much damage on productive, working people who just want to live and be left alone without the government intruding on every aspect of life.
If not for your old man and his name, you never would have amounted to a pile of shit. Unfortunately for California, you and your name will forever be remembered as a huge pile of shit. If you weren’t a Lefty moonbat, you’d be able to see that a “Edmund G. Brown Jr. pipeline/aqueduct” would be a lot better legacy to leave behind than a failed train to nowhere that will most probably never be completed.
I thought about removing the paragraph above, as well as the other disdainful language I’ve used throughout this post because it serves no purpose but to illustrate my disgust for you. I decided to leave it all in because what I’ve written would be ignored by you no matter how it was written.
Brown’s hatred for business was legendary during his
first go-around as governor. He taxed and regulated
large companies out of California then and picked up
where he left off when he returned. And, the major
newspapers all endorsed him in all of his campaigns.
Bring on the state of Jefferson!
