According to a recently released internal memo, Starbucks baristas will no longer write "Race Together" on customers' cups starting Sunday.
Starbucks spokesman Jim Olson says the campaign to create discussion on diversity and racial inequality will continue without the handwritten messages, which are phasing out as originally planned.

That’s good to hear.
Go Sooners!
It's just part of the never-ending campaign to guilt trip white people. The current immigration tidal wave we are seeing is a replacement strategy that started with Teddy Boy Kennedy in 65? We just sit on our butts while the progressives take to the streets constantly demanding more giveaways from whites to everyone else in the world. It's not going to stop until the honkies wake up or are dead.
Try the convenience store chain Woo Woo. Great coffee. I know they are mostly out East.
What is this ‘Starbuck’s’? I’ll take my Tim Horton’s or McDonald’s coffee ‘double double’, thank you very much!
Sometimes I do go to one of our local “Durango Joe’s” places and have something.
I had something a while back that was delicious and can see where it could be addicting.
I’d bet some people must spend hundreds of dollars a month at those places.
Can someone say, “Major Fail.”
I’ve found that “northern states” (even though Oregon is not a “traditional” northern state) are MORE RACIST than southern states, who originally had slaves!
The thing is ... northern states “talk a great talk” but are averse to having blacks around them, while Southern States are actually “living with blacks” all the time. They’ve figured out how to do it. The northern states haven’t.
Of course, this is a generalization ... but it’s one that holds for the most part ... :-) ...
I refer to Oregon as a “northern state” because it bears more resemblance to them than it does to the Southern states. So, in that sense, I’ve directly experienced each of those areas for years in each spot!
And finally, I do know you were referring to Hispanics, but this does bear on the “racist attitude”.
As I understand it, they have strict zoning guidelines which preserve open space while driving up costs in those areas already developed. I don’t see much opening there for people of any color that don’t pay their own way...
I grew up on a ranch and remember some of the old cowboys putting egg shells in their percolators. Great coffee.
Guess I’ll have to head to Starbucks today! Ha
I’m going to tell them that usually don’t drink coffee but felt like engaging in a lively Sunday conversation about race.
Hmmm ... I’ve never heard of it. Do you have a store website?
Of course, while I was in Oregon, I never heard of QuikTrip, either! ... LOL ...
AND ... I never heard of the “Top Tier Gasoline” that it sells there. Now that I’m in Oklahoma, I’ll only go to QuikTrip and I’ll only get “Top Tier Gasoline” for my car! [”Top Tier Gasoline” is also sold at other major gasoline retailers, like Texaco, Shell, Chevron, etc. ...]
True - but liberals are thin skinned - they can dish it out but 'can't take it' if you know what I mean ... One conservative yucking it up and laughing at them would be enough for them to avoid Starbucks.
Starbucks accidentally opened up the discussion to people outside the little world of liberal elites - that was the problem.
Wife and stopped by a Starbucks to use a gift card I got somewhere. Unlike some here, I dont hate their coffee. Anyway, I was really tempted to ask one of the baristas why every employee in the store was Lilly white Caucasian. Interestingly enough, this was in Woodinville WA, a suburb of the founding city, Seattle.
It cracks me up, that I can probably count on one hand the number of ethinicly diverse Starbucks employees Ive ever seen in their stores here in its founding city. Liberal hypocricy strikes again.”
I live in Seattle and have NEVER seen a black person working in a Starbucks. I don’t go there much but one used to be close to my office and sometimes I stop at one in an outlying area if I am driving somewhere.
I guess we could say to a white barista “Why don’t you ask Howard Schultz to fire you and hire a black person?”
Thing is, eventually, that "French Medieval Wymyn's poetry major" will find a job, and it will a job that, in one way or another, influnces the culture far more that anything anyone on this site has ever done, I would bet. But some conservatives just want to keep mocking the idea of they themselves, God forbid, having a profession that shapes the culture in any relevant way.
Their job at starbucks is their own reward for picking a degree with no real world value.
Has anyone discovered a Starbucks in a black neighborhood yet? I hear there aren’t any...
I would never give the barista a hard time over this nonsense. They just came into work one morning and were told that has to do this crap. And without a raise, which would be deserved for added responsibility such as this.
Pour the contents into the tip jar and tell them they need to wake up more than you.
Um, do you mean Wawa? LOL!
