New York City television anchor and Strongsville native Lisa Colagrossi died Friday after suffering a brain aneurysm a day earlier.
Colagrossi, 49, who anchored weekend morning news for NBC station WKYC-TV (Channel 3) in Cleveland in the early 1990s, became ill while on a reporting assignment for WABC-TV. She was also a morning anchor for the station.
The station confirmed her death early Saturday in a lengthy tribute. Earlier, a Twitter post by anchor Sade Baderinwa said "hearts are broken" at the station over Colagrossi's death.

When I was quite young, (possibly 5 or 6), my cousin Shirley, had passed due to a brain aneurism.
(Shirley had two twin daughters that her mother raised after she passed).
She complained of a headache, and laid down on the couch.
My mother was devastated, and took it quite hard.
Scary! seems link between genetics too & more women over 40.
Maybe I need checkup! I don’t smoke but have high blood pressure.
Women who take the pill and smoke are very susceptible to blood clots. Not saying that this was the case in the reporter’s death, but it could be a possibility.
Sad. RIP.
