And the NK wish they and a dog or two to put in their bark and grass stew.

Sad culture, I do eat hotdogs :-)
What are the odds these mutts sit at the dog pound for a few weeks, after which they are euthanized? Welcome to America. It was nice knowing you...
Sure, *those* dogs were saved, but there are still millions more being raised for meat. That won’t stop until the culture changes and makes it unacceptable.
Sounds like a solution to bad pit bulls.
Man bites dog story no more.
So that may explain why all the stores here in Koreatown lowered their BBQ buffet prices.
Dog is kind of stringy, but not horrible.
There is zero difference between Buddhists in India horrified at all the Americans eating cows, and narcissistic Americans horrified at South Koreans eating dogs.
In both cases the bulk of the animals in question are raised as livestock.
Humans are made in the image of God.
We were given dominion over the animals and eating them is okay.
In a small town in ROK I passed a store with cats and dogs in cages and it spilled out into the street. It WASN’T a pet store.....
Food taboos vary by culture. Hindus are vegetarians, but view the eating of beef to be especially objectionable. The Chinese have a ancient taboo against eating beef because cattle have traditionally been the Chinese farmer's best friend.
And then there are those cows and bulls. I mean, we can't go on eating hamburgers and steak. They are being raised for meat. That won't stop until the culture changes; (been to India?). And Balut; seriously, how? Or monkey on a stick, of rattlesnake (mmmmm...I do love me some rattlesnake). When overseas, I've eaten pretty much everything that moved minus humans. Camel burgers? Yep. Balut, yup. Americans just identify with dogs as friends. I have had cat "steaks" and know good and well I have had dog as a platter among other warm blooded creatures. Just wait until the EBT cards flash $0.00. YOU will be on the menu.
The Bible says it's OK to eat dog? Really?
The expedition of LEWIS AND CLARK lived and got fat on dog meat back in 1805. They preferred it to horse and deer.
Agree 100% with your post. I lived in Korea for many years, many people lovingly keep dogs as pets (and would never harm them), others are raised for food... kind of like ducks or goats in the U.S. The Bible does indeed tell us that all animals are under men’s dominion, and it is no coincidence that these Biblical truths were reflected in our laws for hundreds of years— animals were a man’s property. It is wrong for others to tell a man what he can or cannot do with his own property.
Many an Eskimo dog sled come back with fewer dogs than when it left.
Cute little guys. Glad they won’t be someone’s dinner. Hopefully all will be placed in loving homes.
One place I worked at, the co-workers would talk about what they would do if an earthquake leveled the building and we were trapped under it without food. A weird co-worker said he would eat me, and made some lip-smacking sounds, and described how he would carve me up. I happen to be a bit overweight. I said I would never eat a human, that's what separates us from the animals. He said he had no such qualms. He was a brilliant engineer but somewhat psycho (he loved to scream loudly into the telephone at help desk techs when he didn't get the responses he wanted). I had no doubts that he would eat people if given an opportunity! I'd rather die!
