Clinton Charity Tapped Foreign Friends Foundation agreed not to seek donations from other governments, but cash kept flowing from individuals with connections to them By JAMES V. GRIMALDI and REBECCA BALLHAUS March 19, 2015 The Clinton Foundation swore off donations from foreign governments when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. That didnt stop the foundation from raising millions of dollars from foreigners with connections to their home governments, a review of foundation disclosures shows.
Some donors have direct ties to foreign governments. One is a member of the Saudi royal family. Another is a Ukrainian oligarch and former parliamentarian. Others are individuals with close connections to foreign governments that stem from their...

Then again, the Repubbies should subpena the NSA wiretaps of the foreign government files of the foreign hacker who made backup copies of all Hillary’s original email server storage 3-1/2 inch floppies.

There seems to be a solid connection between:
(1) donors to the Clinton Foundation,
(2) companies receiving contracts from foreign countries, and,
(3) Clinton Foundation donors receiving favorable treatment from the State Dept.
<><> Sixty companies contributed $26 million to the Clinton Foundation.
<><> Forty four of those companies also contributed to a $3.2 billion dollar fund established at the Clinton Global Initiative (a wing of the foundation).
<><> At least 25 companies made contributions to fifteen private/public partnerships set up by ex-Pres Clinton;
And who administered all of them?.......the State Department w/ Hillary at the helm.
=============================================
CASE IN POINT---The lucrative foreign contracts to companies that were Clinton Foundation donors were all administered by the State Department.....w/ Hillary at the helm.
<><> questions remain WRT how often CEOs and company reps traveled with Hillary;
<><> did the countries giving these companies lucrative contracts receive anything from Clinton?
===================================================
CONNECTING THE DOTS Then-Secy Hillary gave Haiti $3.1 billion tax dollars from the tax-subsidized govt Foundation for Earthquake Relief.
This was followed by Hillarys brother getting a rare gold mining permit; the last permit Haiti issued was over fifty years before.
===================================================
POINTS TO PONDER:
<><> As Secretary of State, Hillary devoted much of her time in 2010 to the Haiti recovery.
<><> The Clinon Family Foundation accepted Algerias $500,000 donation for Haitian earthquake relief in 2010, during Hillary Clintons tenure as Secy of State at the time Algeria recd millions in foreign aid..
<><> The State Dept recently issued a "special management alert"-----that it had "no idea" what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors.....it warned significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at State has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years....under Hillary's watch.
<><> Bill Clinton got his hands on hundreds of million of dollars while Hillary controlled the State Dept checkbook..... monies that were meant for Haiti.
<><> the newlywed Clintons spent their honeymoon in Haiti.
<><> listed as a Clinton Foundation donor: Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund---organized at the behest of Obama: GHWB-WJC principles.
After the earthquake in Haiti, the Clinton Foundation raised around $36 million for disaster relief, while the Obama Administration kicked in $3.6 billion.
=================================================
Protesters gathered outside the Clinton Foundation in Harlem to complain about "missing money" from the US State Dept's recovery effort for the 2010 Haitian earthquake:
"New Yorkers with roots in Haiti protested, saying the picture [of the Haiti recovery] isn't so rosy," said the NY1-TV anchor. "People raised their voices to call attention to the missing money.
They protested outside the offices of the Clinton Foundation, which helped lead the reconstruction fund."
The protesters claimed that the US State Dept's $10 billion meant to help rebuild Haiti did little to help the country after the devastating 2010 quake. And that much of the money went to non-Haitian companies.
Said one protester, The Haitian people are still living in very difficult conditions, still living under tents, while Bill Clinton and his cronies--they waste this money."

Whut missing Billions?
* Who is really buying for the Magnum PI estate for the Obamas?
“skirting the law” pshaw... these are the Clintons we’re talking about.
People like the Obamas and Clintons need to be free from such restrictions in order to impose their superior plan for the greater good. Being elite liberals, they are inherently more moral and intellectually superior than the people that need those laws to keep them in line.
.
no time for the mere pee-ons
I'd love to be a fly on the West Wing office wall when Valerie Jarrett---Obama's "deputy senior advisor" (means wire-transfer artist in gangland Chicago parlance)----racks up the wire-transfers into numbered offshore counts.
It is said that Valerie Jarrett has oddles of illegal cash in Russian, Canadian, and other foreign banks . . .
No question.

“Clinton Friends Memos on Libya Draw Scrutiny to Politics and Business
Mr. Gowdys chief interest, according to people briefed on the inquiry, is a series of memos that Mr. Blumenthal who was not an employee of the State Department wrote to Mrs. Clinton about events unfolding in Libya before and after the death of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi. According to emails obtained by The New York Times, Mrs. Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time, took Mr. Blumenthals advice seriously, forwarding his memos to senior diplomatic officials in Libya and Washington and at times asking them to respond. Mrs. Clinton continued to pass around his memos even after other senior diplomats concluded that Mr. Blumenthals assessments were often unreliable.”

Frank Giustra, left, and Ian Telfer deny suggestions that they donated to the charitable foundation of former President Bill Clinton and his family to help win U.S. approval to sell a uranium company to Russia. A pair of Canadian mining magnates are denying suggestions that they donated to the charitable foundation of former President Bill Clinton and his family to help win U.S. approval to sell a uranium company to Russia.
Frank Giustra said the allegations have nothing to do with him, and are merely an attempt to tear down presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her election campaign. Ian Telfer, meanwhile, said he committed the funds before he ever realized he would do the deal with the Russians. The New York Times reported on the donations in an explosive article this week.
The story involves a former Canadian mining company called Uranium One Inc., in which Giustra and Telfer were two of the key principals. In 2010, Uranium One began a process to sell itself to Rosatom, a state-controlled nuclear giant in Russia. Uranium One had assets in Kazakhstan and the United States, and multiple U.S. government departments had to sign off on the deal. One of them is the State Department, which was led at the time by Hillary Clinton. Uranium is considered a strategic resource, and it would be unthinkable today for the U.S. government to consider selling the countrys uranium reserves to Russia.
But the Uranium One sale happened prior to Russias incursions into Ukraine last year, and Telfer said in an interview that getting it approved did not require lobbying. There was no lobbying, he said. The Times story noted that between 2009 and 2013, Telfer donated US$2.35 million to Clintons foundation. This coincided directly with the period in which the Rosatom gradually took control of Uranium One.
Telfer was Uranium Ones chairman at the time. In the interview, Telfer said he agreed to contribute US$3 million to the Clinton Foundation back in March 2008, shortly after Giustra and Clinton set up their sustainable growth initiative for the natural resource sector. That was before Uranium One had any negotiations with the Russians, and the donations he has made since then were part of that initial pledge, he said. He denied they had anything to do with influencing U.S. government officials around Uranium One.
There were no plans for us (in March 2008) to ever have Rosatom as a majority shareholder of the company, he said. So therefore, there was never any thought of influencing anyone because there was nothing to influence. Giustras direct involvement with Uranium One ended back in 2007, when he sold his company UrAsia Energy Ltd. to Uranium One for about US$3 billion.
UrAsia held the key Kazakhstan assets that formed the backbone of Uranium One, and there have been prior allegations that Giustra used his friendship with Bill Clinton to help secure those assets when the two men were in Kazakhstan together in 2005. Giustra has subsequently contributed US$31.3 million to the Clinton Foundation and pledged US$100 million more, according to the Times. In a statement on Thursday, Giustra said there is not one shred of evidence to back up claims that he tried to influence the U.S. government to approve the Uranium One sale to Rosatom.
He called the Times piece a wildly speculative, innuendo-laced article. He also said that he sold all his Uranium One shares in 2007. I would note that those (shares) were sold at least 18 months before Hillary Clinton became the secretary of state. No one was speculating at that time that she would become the secretary of state, he said. In addition to Giustra and Telfer, the Times noted that other people with ties to Uranium One made contributions to the Clinton Foundation: Neil Woodyer, Frank Holmes, Paul Reynolds (who recently died in a triathalon incident) and GMP Securities Ltd. — Josh Schwerin Spokesperson Hillary for America @Josh Schwerin

A book that has not yet been published has caused the New York Times to publish a wildly speculative, innuendo-laced article about the Clinton Foundation and my role in contributing money to it. There is not one shred of evidence to back up the Times conclusions.
*This is not about me, but rather an attempt to tear down Secretary Clinton and her presidential campaign.* If this is what passes for investigative journalism in the United States, it is very sad. The facts do not comport with the story in the New York Times. The reporter, Jo Becker, wrote a similar piece in 2008, which was eventually debunked by Forbes. http://www.forbes.com/2009/01/12/giustra-clinton-kazakhstan-pf-ii-in_rl_0912croesus_inl.html
1. I began working on financing the purchase of mining stakes from a private Kazakh company in early 2005. The purchase was concluded in late 2005.
2. In late 2005, I went to Kazakhstan to finish the negotiations of the sale. Bill Clinton flew to Almaty a few days after I arrived in the country on another persons plane, not on my plane, as the Times reported. Bill Clinton had nothing to do with the purchase of private mining stakes by a Canadian company.
3. I sold all of my stakes in the uranium company Uranium One in the fall of 2007, after it merged with another company. I would note that those were sold at least 18 months before Hillary Clinton became the Secretary of State. No one was speculating at that time that she would become the Secretary of State.
4. Other media outlets have insinuated that I influenced the decision by the U.S. to sign a free trade agreement with Colombia. At one point, I was an investor in Pacific Rubiales, a Colombian energy company. I sold my shares in Pacific Rubiales several years before the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement, which, I will note, was approved by several U.S. agencies and the White House. To theorize that I had anything to do with that is sheer conjecture.
I hope that the U.S. media can start to focus on the real challenges of the world and U.S. society. Focus on poverty, homelessness, infrastructure, health care, education, or fractious world politics. You are a great country. Dont ruin it by letting those with political agendas take over your newspapers and your airwaves.
*I am extremely proud of the work that we have done at the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership.*
Thousands of people, all over the world, have been helped by this initiative. I plan to continue that work long after the harsh glare of this weeks media stories has faded. 4 Votes Sent from my iPad ...

This gambit by Bill Clinton (meddling in a foreign election) got the uranium scheme going. Bill's calculated handshake was a bonanza for the Kazahk president's re-election. Nazarbayev responded in kind and signed-off on the initial phase of the US uranium assets takeover.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev greets former
president Clinton (L) in Almaty on September 6, 2005.
CIRCA 2015 A Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter claims that former President Bill Clinton falsely denied hosting a meeting with Kazakh officials when she tried to write a story that involved his foundation several years ago.
Jo Becker, who works on the newspaper's investigative desk, said Clinton only confirmed the meeting took place after she informed him there were photographs.
Clinton's role in a deal that involved Kazakhstan, the Russian government, and a man (Giustra) who donated millions to the president's charitable foundation were detailed in a story Becker published on Thursday.
That article revisited some of her earlier reporting and included information from the upcoming book "Clinton Cash," which is generating widespread headlines amid a flurry of reports suggesting it will raise serious questions about Clinton's family foundation.
The donor in question is Canadian mining executive Frank Giustra, a longtime friend of the former president who has given tens of millions to the Clinton Foundation in the past few years. (A couple of hours after the NYT story was published, Giustra issued a defiant statement. We've included that below.)
Becker initially wrote about the February 2007 meeting between Clinton, Giustra, and executives from the state-owned nuclear company Kazatomprom in 2008. The gathering took place at Clinton's home in Chappaqua, New York.
"When I first contacted both the Clinton foundation Mr. Clinton's spokesman and Mr. Giustra, they denied any such meeting ever took place," Becker recalled in footage aired by Fox News on Thursday. However, Becker said Clinton and Giustra both changed their stories after she confronted them with evidence to the contrary.
"And then when we told them, 'Well we already talked to the head of Kazatomprom, who not only told us all about the meeting, but actually has a picture of him and Bill at the home in Chappaqua, and that he proudly displayed on his office wall.' They then acknowledged that yes, the meeting had taken place," Becker continued in the television interview.
The purpose of the meeting, then Kazatomprom President Moukhtar Dzhakishev told The Times, was to discuss Kazakhstan potentially buying a 10% stake in Westinghouse, a US nuclear company. Becker's 2008 story also noted one of Giustra's companies secured a deal to buy uranium deposits from Kazatomprom in 2005.
That agreement was made after Clinton accompanied Giustra on a trip to Kazakhstan. During the trip, Giustra and Clinton met with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Clinton issued a public statement praising the Kazakh leader despite his questionable, antidemocratic record. The Times called the praise a "propaganda coup" for Nazarbayev. (he later "won relection" w/ an unbelievable 90% of the vote)
"Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton's charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustras more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clintons inner circle," wrote Becker and another reporter, Don Van Natta.
A spokesperson for the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership told Business Insider they are "working on a formal statement" in response to a request for comment on Thursday. Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation that was cofounded by Clinton and Giustra in 2007. A Clinton Foundation spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

ITEM--The NY Times reported the "Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership" collected about $33 million US tax dollars from Hillary's State Dept between 2008 and 2013.....$25 million of which was passed back across the border to the US-based Clinton Foundation. Plus---mining mogul Giustra pledged a whopping $100 million to the (cough) Foundation after Clinton helped him clinch the mega-bucks uranium deal.
ITEM---millions of dollars and 1,100 donors are shrouded in mystery in the Canadian Giustra/Clinton operation. The Clinton Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Obama White House agreeing to reveal its contributors every year. The agreement stipulates that the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (as the charity was then-known) is part of the Clinton Foundation and must follow the same protocols.
SURPRISE: It hasnt.
Caught w/ his pants down, ining mogul Giustra's backtracking like crazy---saying Canadas federal privacy law "forbids" the Canadian-registered Clinton charity, from revealing its donors.
A memo he provided news organs cites fiduciary obligations to its contributors and Canadas Personal Information Privacy and Electronic Disclosure Act. We are not allowed to disclose even to the Clinton Foundation the names of our donors, Giustra says.
However, Canadian tax and privacy law experts were dubious of the Clinton/Giustra claims. A former director knowledgeable about tax policy at Canada's Department of Finance, said he wasn't aware of any tax laws that would prevent the Clinton charity from releasing its donors' names. "There's nothing that would preclude them from releasing donors' names. It's entirely up to them."
====================================
Hillary, and Frank Giustra, left.
Meet Frank Giustra. He's a mining expert......he facilitated the takeover of US uranium assets.... he received tax dollars from Hillary's State Dept.
Canadian mining magnate Frank Giustra is one of the Clinton Foundations largest donors. Giustra's $100 million contributions go directly:
<><> (1) to the tax-exempt Clinton Foundation, and,
<><> (2) to the Canada-based "Clinton-Giustra Enterprise Partnership."
The "Clinton-Giustra Enterprise Partnership" in turn sends money to the Clinton Foundation...(according to Canadian tax records researched by "Clinton Cash" author Schweizer).
