I knew (but not in the biblical sense) a couple of gals that were in multi-state regional sales that took up this lifestyle back in the 80s.
One became so hooked on the sexual aspect of it she had a new guy every week for about three years. She was driven to see how often and varied she could make it until she had an emotional and mental crisis from it.
She was a beautiful married 32 year old but I bet she never made it to 40 — she was on a collision course with destruction.
This is a FAUX STORY!!! I do NOT believe it.
This comfort with iniquity is not a good sign at all.
Not having children, especially when it is not by choice, is very hard on people which by extension becomes hard on the marriage.
When you are faced with a spouse who either subliminally or openly states that the fact that you don't have children is your fault something inside you begins to shrivel up and die. Especially when you blame yourself as well.
My wife “could” be doing that.
Except I trust her without exception. And without reservation.
I think she would gnaw off her arm before doing something like this.
There was a time in our lives when we went through a rough time. She looked me in the eye and reminded me that we made a promise to GOD. And she was not about to screw THAT up, even if I was acting like an idiot.
I bet if this woman talked to her husband about her feelings, he would have been thrilled to work it out.
People are whacked. I weep for any children of a marriage like this.
Yeah, it’s a little difficult to maintain a marriage when both the husband and wife are narcissists. Seems to me the marriage was the project, not the wild oats.
How absolutely correct you are! Sometimes I give in to my dark side, but I always regret it when I do.
We all make mistakes, we all sin. But it’s whether we wallow in in them, or try to abandon them (successful or not) that separates the winners from the losers. IMO
Come on. Really? Who cares about “trustworthy, smart and skilled at conversation” for one night stands?
The husband and wife deserved each other. Both are sick.
In my experience things get better and better the longer we are married. I’d be willing to bet it’s the same for all couples who are unselfish and committed to each other until death.
The "4-F Project -- Find 'em, fool 'em, ..... 'em, and forget 'em".
“starting a family had felt like one route to this elusive state of feminine fulfillment. But Scott had made it absolutely clear -SNIP-”
I’m sure the “SNIP” was unintentionally funny.
#FAIL
I agree with the bedroom part, absolutely. But I would also argue that her decision to make her antics public - and to use them to promote a book and a youtube video - suggests she’s pulling a Kardashian. That is, she’s hoping to exploit her private activities to get fame and fortune. IMHO (again), that takes it out of the bedroom and is fair game for discussion.
I’ve known a few women like this, unfortunately. It seems that with hosebeast chicks like this, it’s always about *them*. It’s okay when she does it, but not him. Everything is “all your fault” and so on.
Her ex-husband seems to be no prize, either, of course.
Yes it was. And I'm pleased that someone finally noticed.
No doubt we have more of our shared of them here, but this is from San Francisco (aka "The City of Fruits & Nuts).
...though the lyrics from "Jane Says" would also fit nicely with this story.
Actually, Jane isn't the slut (at least, not AKAIK). She is just writing about the slut, whose name is apparently Robin.
Is that her current paramour?
The womyn on Sex in the City had much more adventure than “routine” sex. She had to keep up with the Janeses.
