Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made another massive misstep on Monday, hiring Liz Mair of Mair Strategies to handle communications and social media for his campaign-in-waiting.
Mairs support for amnesty for illegal aliens, wide-open-borders immigration policies, and public advocacy for the Senate Gang of Eight amnesty bill is sure to dog Walker in Iowa, South Carolina, and other early presidential states.
During the Senate Gang of Eight bill fight, Mair very publicly and very aggressively promoted the amnesty billpushing it to media and making the case for the need for it over and over again. She claims her advocacy was done out of the good of her heart, for free, because for religious reasons she believes in amnesty and open borders. But Mair wouldnt answer who was paying her bills for her advocacy during the timeframe of the Gang of Eight bill in early 2013 through the end of the last Congresswhen asked by Breitbart News if any specific tech companies or a select group of Wall Street billionaires were paying her.
Were contractually barred from disclosing our clients, Mair said.
That could mean anyoneeven foreign companies potentiallywere paying her during the timeframe she was publicly advocating for the amnesty bill. While she didnt have to disclose it to the public at the time now that shes hitched to Walker the Wisconsin governor owns everything she said and did.

Thanks for the post. Scott Walker’s new “media advisor” sounds like MEGAN MCCAIN! Has the Walker staff lost their mind? Previously I was firmly for a Cruz-Walker or Walker-Cruz ticket. I’m rapidly changing my mind as I begin to see things such as this.
Amnesty is a DEAL-BREAKER. And if my kids hung around with druggies, I’d be very suspicious. Again, laying down with dogs gives a person fleas.
I wasn’t going to say much until I read that you think Ted isn’t a natural born citizen. Now I know you’re completely off your rocker.
Answer the questions.
My opinion is you’re part of what is wrong with the US today.
Karl Rove ruined the Republican brand. It is now hopeless thanks to “we NEED the Hispanic vote” Karl. It is now dogma in the RINO party that they pander to Hispanics egged on by the CoC.
After Obama, I don’t even want to look at Cruz’ “eligibility”.
And I’ll definitely have to fight the urge to punch any liberal that mentions it.
This is not the question at hand.
Better her working for us than for the Rand Paul team...
I have no confidence in Scott Walker.
You have already surrendered your country.
I’m not ready to do that.
I still think we can uphold the rule of law.
You said it, now back it up please. Or did you lie? I want to read what you've read.
It's very important that false information about Any candidate is not spread around.
Please back up your statement or retract it. I'll wait for your answer.
I am fully aware that Cruz wants it repealed though, good to point out.
But, some of you are so desperate to paint Walker as unfit, that you will grasp at any straw you can.
.....................................................
This woman seems quite passionate about being pro abortion, pro amnesty, and pro gay marriage. And she will be in a front line position giving guidance to Walker.
That’s not a ‘straw’ we’re grasping. That’s a tine attached to a pitchfork.
Oh, yes it is.
#1. Why would a conservative Republican associate with and conduct business with, and put into such a prominent position, an individual who is obviously pro-amnesty?
#2. Would you do this?
#3. If Walker happened to become president and put in a leftist pro-amnesty sympathizer/supporter as spokesperson for the Border Patrol, would you support that too?
#4. Do conservative media/communications experts who do not support or sympathize with amnesty for millions of illegal aliens not exist?
Better her working for us than for the Rand Paul team
You think anyone buys this?
“One of Walkers weaknesses is choosing those who are working for him. He doesnt always make the best choices”
I remember a theme from the Reagan administration:
“personnel is policy”
Who you choose as staff shows how you will govern.
And Walker is proving to be an amnesty and gay marriage promoting GOP establishment candidate.
Hey, Usagi -- ditto here. What proposed Obamacare "replacement"? All I've read or heard Cruz proposing is to repeal Obamacare in full.
Whereas Walker's position on Obamacare, as far as I can discover, is simply that he doesn't like it.
One guy -- Cruz -- states STRAIGHTFORWARDLY that he wants to repeal it in full, period, end of story.
The other guy -- Walker -- is too cautious to commit to such bold and simple principle, but instead talks about what a mess Obamacare is. So what?
Walker scares me more than Bush, Christie, Huckabee, Romney, Perry, or any of the other known GOPe government pushers, because ONLY Walker threatens Cruz. In this 2016 Republican primary, there is only room for ONE limited government conservative. If both Walker and Cruz run, they'll split the vote and one of the known GOPe government pushers will get the nomination.
I think it is pretty obvious, even at this early date, that Cruz is infinitely the superior choice on several levels. Walker should step aside and state clearly: "There's only room for one of us in this 2016 primary game if we don't want to blow the presidential, and Cruz is the better man, so I'm stepping aside and urging any who would support me, to put that support toward Cruz in the primary and the general, for the betterment of our nation."
On the other hand, reversing the roles and having Cruz bow out to help Walker, would be disappointing because there have been too many instances where Walker's heart is in the right place but the actual principles of conservative governance -- that is, to see that government is used ONLY with restraint and is cut away where it is harmful and tyrannical -- sail right over his head.
At this early point in the game, I see Walker as a spoiler.
Some people on this thread are glaring political frauds and could care less who Walker's close associates are or what they support.
Gaijin:
Having spent 3 great years in Nippon, I find your handle quite interesting. One of my handles that I use around here is “Old Watashi”.
Personnel is Policy. Walker reveals what concerns him by his choice of staff. Selecting an amnesty pushing, gay marriage promoting staffer for a prominent position didn’t bother him. It’s not like he has a track record that indicates this is an anomaly.
“It is often said, correctly, that personnel is policy. The nexus between personnel management and policy management is therefore crucial.
“Good policies cannot be advanced without good, capable, and committed personnel to formulate, implement, aggressively promote, and steadfastly defend them.
“Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald W. Reagan were noteworthy in this respect for making strong and effective Cabinet appointments and solid White House staffing decisions.
“Reagan, in particular, demonstrated the value of having trusted “lieutenants” in the policy and supporting roles of his Administration, giving his Cabinet appointees policy options, preparing regulatory initiatives and dealing effectively with Members of Congress and their staff.”

We will be seeing more and more GOP hacks show up just like every election season. Some who signed up years ago but only get active when they come around to denounce conservative “purists”, meaning anyone who won’t vote for the likes of Jeb Bush or one of his clones.
Didn’t W surround himself with some amazing talent? That alone says a lot of positive things about him.
I understand...
We’ve seen all these frauds before. Over and over.
