U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Republican opposition to Obamacare spawned the GOP wave in 2014 and can buoy his party in 2016.
The possible presidential hopeful said Monday that the GOP should keep a bulls-eye on the health care law to energize and mobilize voters.
The biggest job-killer in the country is Obamacare, said Cruz, speaking at Politics & Eggs at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
Cruz repeatedly criticized the Affordable Care Act during his two-day visit to New Hampshire. On Sunday, at a Strafford County GOP event in Barrington and at the Grafton County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner in Lincoln, Cruz predicted that a new President in 2017 would repeal every word of the law.
A popular Tea Party hopeful, Cruz said his No. 1 priority is economic growth. He cited statistics that America has its lowest labor force participation rate in nearly 50 years, and that median wages are the same as they were in 1996.
We cannot solve any of the problems we have with stagnant economic growth, Cruz said.

The fact is that the GOP hasn’t done squat about Obamacare and I’m pissed. How dare he think he will just dangle it out there again in 2016!
I do not understand the meaning of this comment. Please expound.
The Republicans ran in 2010 and 2014 on getting rid of Obamacare. And they haven’t done crap. And now they are already talking about using it as a campaign ploy in 2016. I elected Republicans to get Obamacare off the books and to stop Obama’s illegal immigration policies. If all they are is talk, not action, I’ll go find someone else to vote for.
The fact is the republicrats have funded obamacare 4 damned times. They are spineless worms.
You should pay closer attention. Cruz is one of the few who is trying to do something, but he is outnumbered by rinos. If elected, he would do something.
Cruz will get little support from his fellow Republicans. They own control of Congress and still cave like little girls at an Arachnophobia sneak preview.
If Cruz wants to make a difference he’s going to have to remove the (R) in his title. There is NO other way.
Cruz and Cotton make a good good cop/good cop team; Domestic issues and Foreign issues.
Let me know how that works out for you. LOL!
Then there is no way at all, because your idea wont work. Lets just say that President Cruz will prove you wrong and let it go at that.
If he runs wearing a smoking jacket, with a cigarette and holder in one hand an a glass of champagna in the other, he might get my vote too.
Ever hear of the moon? Because anyone who believes this Republicrat group will do anything Cruz (and We the People) wants to achieve probably lives there.
There’s a reason why Congress has approval in the single digits, and it certainly isn’t due solely to the actions of Democrats. The GOP is a lost cause. Time to scrap the crony group and create a clean, well-funded, well-managed machine. It may take time, but it can and should happen.
I dont disagree with your diagnosis Dr. Up Yours Marxists, just your treatment plan.
Well then you go right on ahead praying that the Republicans can “get it right”.
There’s no sense in trying to change quarterbacks when the team stinks like a 1 year-old diaper pail.
And you go on hoping for a squad of unicorns to show up.
History is not on your side. Refer to: Whig party.
Time will tell. There is a far greater chance that we will be able to restructure the Republican Party to our ends than there is that some new and successful political vehicle can be created from scratch.
After all, we have an example in front of us when we see how progressives have bent the Democrat Party exclusively to their will over the past two decades.
We need to keep up the pressure, force the weak-kneed and the craven to the sidelines or out of the game, elect more like Jeff Sessions, Ted Cruz and others. When we have the numbers, and we WILL have the numbers, and we are willing to enforce party discipline on the timid, we will be able to effectively undertake the generational task of unwinding the socialist nightmare and restoring America.
My opinion, obviously not yours.
