Jeb Bush, making his first visit to New Hampshire as a likely presidential candidate, implicitly criticized his Republican rivals for the nomination for changing their positions on difficult issues.
Discussing his support for the Common Core education standards, which are viewed unfavorably by many Republicans, Mr. Bush said, you dont abandon your core beliefs just because a position appears unpopular.
The way Ive sorted it out is: I think you need to be genuine, I think you need to have a backbone. I think you need to able to persuade people this is a national crisis, this is a national priority, Mr. Bush told a group of New Hampshire business and education executives.

Will someone please gong this guy already.
Good luck Jeb. You are not worth the effort.
We have a winner!!
Common Core is to education as income tax is to personal finance.
The redistributionists have taken the money from the earners, now it will take the knowledge from the thinkers.
The flaw in their plan is that these are not “zero sum games”. When the money and knowledge are taken, they dissipate, they do not redistribute.
They have killed our economy, now they are going to kill our collective intellect.
This is a war against the Western Culture. The enemy are the socialists, the weapons are the masses of the underclass.
They’ve already won.
“When someone tells you they think they need to have a backbone - he is actually trying to convince you he has an backbone when he doesn’t really know if he has one or not.”
That was my first thought also.
Now that Hilary appears to be toast he should switch just switch party. He has no grasp of the concept of federalism.
Now we have Jeb Bush not only completely accepting the premise of the issue, but expanding it as well.
One of the other candidates should simply point out that federal involvement in education is completely unconstitutional and any arguments to the contrary are built on emotional and hyperbolic propaganda.
He should make a good VP candidate for the Democrat ticket.
He mistakenly think a departure of Hillary! is a good thing for him.
I will never, ever, ever,......EVER cast a vote for him. EVER!
Perfect answer. Politicians who can run a country we need. Politicians who know what’s best for “We The People” are more than abundant.

In other words those that do, do, and those that don’t talk about it! And for what it’s worth, I’m also done with all their “cutesy” acronym names. No more “HW,” “W,” or “JEB!”
Maybe he’s just a plain old f’n idiot. He’s gonna end up with more money and fewer votes than everybody else except maybe Krispie Kreme if he runs.

The same way you had a backbone and persuaded anyone to save Terri’s life? While I realize you were only one person, you were still the one I charge so her death rests on your shoulders. You should have went down fighting and you didn’t. No respect from me.
Take your common core and illegal immigration back to Florida and think about why you aren’t fit to be president.
“Now that Hilary appears to be toast...”
What a shortsighted thing to say. If you think Hilary’s path to the White House is disrupted in any significant way by this email scandal, I think you underestimate the power and influence of her husband and their cronies. She is not over by a long shot. Unfortunately.
Jeb is just a little below the backbone.
Jebster is just what The Cheap Labor Express wants in a Candidate.
That’s why he will be the GOP nominee.
Amnesty and communist core are just two issues where he is a Democrat in an R jersey. There are others..
I AM NEVER VOTING FOR THAT.
No amount of castigation, cajoling, guilting, or any of the other methods of bullying employed by the FRinos will change my mind.
If the GOP wishes to commit electoral suicide, it’s o.k. with me.
I believe that for the Republic to survive, the GOP must die.
They are totally compromised.
