Rumors are swirling today about the possible illness or even death of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mainstream media outlets have reported that he may be sick.
-snip-
Putin is almost certainly going to re-emerge in a few days looking none the worse for wear. But this isn't the first time rumors of this kind have caught on and the fact that he can't cancel a couple of meetings without causing a frenzy of speculation hints at a deeper truth about Russia, and the state of Putin's regime.
These rumors stem from fear and uncertainty about what happens after Putin. No one knows who would assume power if he died, got sick, or otherwise left office. That instability is a real danger, even if the death rumors are probably false.
Why hasn't Putin been seen since March 5?
The rumors began on Wednesday after Putin cancelled a visit to Kazakhstan this week. An anonymous Kazakh government official told Reuters that "it looks like he has fallen ill."

Putin is not America's greatest enemy. America's greatest enemy sits in the oval office unchallenged by those elected officials who know this full well and do nothing about it.

Well, you did use the adjective, “greatest.” So you’ve got that going for you.

" Putin is not America's greatest enemy. If Putin really died, we would most likely get another serpent just like him as a replacement, someone who can fight to make it to the top. I mean, doesn’t so many years of tyrants replacing tyrants in Russia or the Middle East say something?
To: HomerBohn
It is also my understanding that Russian’s organized crime is maybe the most powerful of that type in the world. I’d guess every Russiam leader is bit paranoid.

Organized crime here in the US is seated at the Capitol building.

the entire thing was generated by our press yet it’s somehow a weakness of Putin
that’s pretty funny.

Keep in mind that Putin disappeared at about the same time some Chechnyans were arrested for the assassination of the political foe who was walking with no guards and just his girlfriend from Kiev late at night in Moscow. How odd is that when one of those guys doesn't have his private militia protecting him and the assassins knew where he'd be with the Kiev girlfriend? And then she takes off to Kiev for safety and to be with her mom. Then we get things in the news media about the Nazi influence in Marispol, Kiev and some other places. Then Putin disappears and doesn't show up for some planned events in some of those weird republics that were signing more treaties with Moscow.
Something's going on, and it's weirder than any spy movie you'll see in the movies this year.

How do you have a real election after years of fake ones?

Interesting. Russia makes for great spy and intrigue movies. What an evil Godless place it is.

Whomever takes power sets up elections just to show off how well liked they are. Or the person can pull a Diaz, where they dictate what the election results are without question.
To: 1rudeboy
C’mon. I know which side you’re on. But you have to admit it seems more than a little weird when it’s all brought together.

Not really. Another poster this morning related Putin’s “absence” to the Hillary email server scandal. C’mon.

Go door to door with several armed thugs. Ask 1000 people how they were going to vote. Calculate the average and call the election. Nay voters are "questioned".

The abomination currently soiling the White House was legitimately elected by majority of US people. That is more terrifying than inactivity of other elected puppets. Russians will get what they like: another demon.

Another poster this morning related Putin's "absence" to the hillary email server scandal. C'monI'm not quite sure about a connection either. There is a question about who benefits from a scandal that has the potential to thwart her campaign.
