The Very Best Reason Why Ted Cruz Should Be the 2016 Nominee
PJ Media ^ | 03-12-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 03/12/2015 9:44:37 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

If Republicans want to win the presidential elections next year, they’d better nominate a candidate who’s willing to take the fight to the criminal organization called the Democratic Party and their allies in the media.

Luckily, there are two candidates who are real warriors: Senator Ted Cruz and Governor Scott Walker.

The latter’s problem? He isn’t nearly charismatic enough to take on the Clintons in a national election – and yes, for now I’m going to assume Hillary will be the eventual Democratic nominee.

That’s why I support Ted Cruz for president. He’s as charismatic a warrior as they come. See, for instance, how he responded when attacked by Wolf Blitzer. The guy isn’t rattled easily and sticks to his guns, no matter what.

I was at CPAC.

Ted Cruz was the only person who actually believes that the Federal government needs to get off our backsides.

Most of the others talked about how they would do a better job at "training" the American people, a better job at Obamacare, etc.

We already have a president who thinks he can micromanage our lives for us. We don't need another one like him.

Ted Cruz is the closest to Ronald Reagan that we have and the only one worth voting for.

We need Ted Cruz.

As far as I am concerned, Ted Cruz is the only choice.

Agreed. He stood against ethanol subsidies...in Iowa. Walker flip-flopped.

Walker has been flip-flopping all over the place. Give me Cruz who has one position and sticks to it. I don’t agree with him on some issues, but he doesn’t waffle. The honesty is refreshing, something we haven’t seen in a long, long time.

The problem for conservatives is if we have two good candidates, Cruz and Walker, this allows Jeb to walk through and win.

I prefer Cruz (don't mind Walker at all, he's equally good in his own way), but we're going to see which one takes off, consolidating behind the one who will be in the best position to take out Jeb.

It's that or we get Jeb. I think Jeb is the only candidate who could lose to whatever rat wins their side of the nomination.

One thing this article lacks, is the fact that we need a candidate willing and able to take on those WITHIN OUR OWN PARTY, who have succumbed to the money of the Chamber of Commerce and their "corporations are people" nonsense.

Cruz, and only Cruz, has been both willing to do this and has done it admirably so.

Scott Walker is strangely silent on this issue.

I want somebody, as POTUS, who realizes that his/her job is to protect the rights of the individual first and foremost, not confuse corporations and Big Business with individuals.

After all, this government "is by the people, of the people, and for the people".

It is not "by the corporations, of the corporations, and for the corporations".

I see Cruz and Walker splitting the conservative vote and Bush sliding in by the time my state’s primary is.

That's a scary thought.

There you go. Cruz/Walker 2016.

That may be the only thing that would keep us from getting a Bush.

Cruz to the White House!!

I’m supporting Cruz over Walker (at this point - I hope Cruz doesn’t get bumped out of the race!) because (a) I’m sure Cruz is an absolute straight arrow with no scary stuff lurking in the political closet; (b) he is a brilliant debater and a humble intellectual; and (c) he’s just far more interesting to watch and listen to than Walker. Walker is just plain boring. I hate to say it but that will not play to John Q. Undecided. We need a candidate with a little flash!

the criminal organization called the Democratic Party

Oh, and let me plug my Facebook friend, conservative firebrand writer Michael Walsh (who also writes under the name David Kahane) who coined that phrase! “A criminal organization masquerading as a political party.”

So how come you write about yourself in the third person on your profile page?

Is he in the witness protection program or just another scumbag with a fake name?

Wow, way to start the discussion on a positive note. Nice going.

However, to answer you: The big deal in writing these days is to “brand” yourself. So when people see the name, they think of whatever you’re known for. Many professional writers choose to use different names for their different “brands” or areas of expertise. Michael writes political commentary, music criticism, and screenplays. He uses different names for his different writing jobs.

So... basically he’s a fake-ass liar that changes his persona to fit his fake tone.

Thanks for the info.

Both of the ones you mentioned [Cruz and Walker] also have skins like alligators, too. Walker has earned this reputation by repelling the protestors on his very doorstep among other things as WI governor. Cruz has by challenging the crazies without caring about what the personal fallout might be....in the belly of the DC beast.

The worst is yet to come and I think these two can stand up to the flame-throwers.

At least we are pretty much guaranteed neither will endorse their opponent like McLame did in 2008.

“I have to tell you. Sen. Obama is a decent person and a person you don’t have to be scared of as president of the United States”
