...the next time anyone asks why there is no broad-based pick up in consumer retail spending across the entire population, just show them the above charts.

do me a favor and figure in the difference abortion has made. Loss of workers and since it has been 40 years, include their babies. Would it be possible to include the positive effects of babies on the economy over the years if they had been allowed to live?
Insourcing + Outsourcing + Automation = No demand for labor
ZIRP + Stock Buybacks + Captured Political Class = Wall St. Nirvana
Fake Economy trumps Real Economy until it all eventually collapses like every other time in history
In 1970 our population was 203 million; today it is 320 million; and the nations total population would cross the 400 million mark in 2051, reaching 420.3 million in 2060. I suspect if all of those babies had not been aborted, our population would be crossing the half billion mark.
I am dead set against abortion, which is murder. However, I don't equate high population growth with economic prosperity. If that were the case, China and India would have a much higher standard of living.
China is, of course, commie and India is a horrible class system so America is unique. We would be so blessed instead of cursed if we stopped and made it illegal forever.
This difference is a tremendous demographic shift. Kill a million Americans each year and replace them with another 2 million from outside. Each year.
After a couple of decades you begin to see a tremendous change.
The wages of sin as they say is death. Or, in our case, replacement.
It is actually a biblical consequence of child sacrifice. It is called invasion, and it is not only from the south but from all over the world. They wanted a new world order and that includes the decimation of the United States. Not quite what the Bushes had in mind (everyone who wants change has their own criteria), but grandma bush is an abortionist.
Why hasn’t anyone created a ping list for your posts?
Gee, thanks!
I have a list of maybe a dozen people I send notice too, when I write a new article. If you wish, I could add you to the list...
Cheers!
absolutely. You better be blogging and tweeting, too! LOL
One reason could be punitive tax rates that make it more profitable to take one’s compensation in other forms - i.e. other than just salary. Not sure how prevalent that is - but it’s a formal possibility - sort of a defacto wage control. In addition of course to the importation of cheap labor and products.
