A Wisconsin business owner upset over enactment of a right-to-work law and other policies says he is expanding in Minnesota because the economic policies there are more conducive for his operation.
James Hoffman, president of Hoffman Construction in Black River Falls, said Monday that he was accelerating plans to expand an office in Lakeville, Minnesota, that currently has two full-time employees. [ ]
Hoffman says the decision is based on business, not politics.

Bye-bye
Sounds like it’s time to pass a right-to-work law I Minnesota.
I just can’t run my business
unless my employees are forced
to pay union dues against their will?
Yeah, right.
I must be missing something, and because the guy has two full time employees and he wants to expand I sure don’t want to miss it.....
What ,can’t get a Union Kickback now ?
This guy is either a liar or not too bright.
Two full-timers in his Minnesota office. Probably more at his Wisconsin plant.
Like he's going to admit that democrats in Minnesota were easier to buy.
He needs to move his whole business to MN. Sounds like he would be a better fit in that commie state. Glad my Governor is getting all these liberals undies in a bind. It’s fun to watch.
ROFLOL - Yeah, you betcha !!!
Black River Falls, WI on I-94. If you are traveling through Wisconsin Black River Falls is in the middle of nowhere. The location is south of Osseo (Eau Claire is to the North) and Tomah (Wisconsin Dells is to the South). The guy is moving not because of Right to Work - but jobs are slow in coming in the area.
***the economic policies there are more conducive for his operation. ***
Lemme guess. He’s a Union Contract printer who makes up ON STRIKE signs.
Probably both.
Is this from The Onion?
How can giving his employees the ‘Right-to-Work’ possibly COST his business money? That simply does not compute. James Hoffman, president of Hoffman Construction in Black River Falls, is ideologue and he is certainly free to expand wherever he sees is best for his business. I wish him luck....
To James Hoffman, president of Hoffman Construction in Black River Falls: “Don’t let the door hit you in the arse... on your way to Miny-soda.”
Lakeville MN is south of Minneapolis St-Paul area It is also south of Apple Valley - it is a City of 53,000 people. so Right o work has nothing to do with it.
Being from the AP, it may as well be.
He says he’s “expanding”. And that somehow the RTW issue is not related, even though he testified to WI’s government it.
Target is leaving, and Hoffman is coming, wonder who the smart one is?
