MRC's Dan Gainor alerted us that Ben Smith of the Daily Signal tweeted out a shocking visual: the New York Times front page on Sunday cropped George W. and Laura Bush out of its photo of a Selma anniversary march. They cropped it just to include President Obama. (Notice the Bushes didn't try to crowd right next to the president to get into the frame.)
And a fuller shot:
The online story by Peter Baker and Richard Fausset doesn't have column-inch limitations, but its photo, too, excludes the Bushes.

They were not “black-ish” enough. Neither is Obama, but that does not deter the fish rag better known as the New York Times.
Is that elijah cunnings holding baracks hand?
He must be trying to avoid conviction by raising his street cred
John Lewis, but him and Cummings are indistinct in almost every sense of the word.
Bump
The cropped (tighter) photo is the better photo. More compelling, more interesting.

This is not an issue.
And Michelle must be po’d that she had to hold his hand & not her husband’s.
I posted this yesterday morning:
“Bush was marching some distance to the right of Obama, and after the original wide-angle shot he was completely invisible in coverage. Cant show a white guy in a positive light...”
They can re-write history all they want (and fabricate a “Bloody Sunday” moniker for this event); they are simply admitting failure (with scapegoats that are fading into history) and an intent to continue lagging behind every other race that has set foot on our shores.
Non-blacks are completely detached from black America, who seem quite content to remain marginalized.
All the news that’s print to fit.
The Bushes have groveled to the left for their favors, hugged the nasty Bill Clinton and sneered at the conservative base. Now they want to inflect the last Bush, filled with estrogen, on us.
Go away, Laura. Go away, W.
Poor little Al $harpton, he didn’t make it into the first row, and he even had to lean over to be seen at all.
There are at least 2 - 3 other white people, hard to see them. But you are right, the tall white guy with glasses sticks out.
Just to point out the two pics being compared are not the same pic - look at Obama’s daughter at the far left and the older woman in blue to the right.
So what else is new? For his 8 years as POTUS, the lefty/commies, MSM crapped all over him while he and his administration never said a word.
Seems like there were more white guilters than black marching.
Was Beckel in there?...
Who gives a crap? Exactly what is being celebrated? That it involves the likes likes of Sharpton, Jackson and Obamanation et al tells a lot.

I agree. This is a non-issue. Obviously they were zooming in on Obama while keeping him centered.
I don’t know, but there are a few funny things about the photo. Sharpton sticking out behind Obama is comical (the squirrel photobomb pic comes to mind). The SS guy looks almost “stuck” in there.
And there is this overly large face on a man behind the woman in red. I zoomed the pic, it looks REALLY odd.
The Bushs should be embarrassed...by being there. The Democrats are/ were the racists...and they re palling around with them
President Bush was probably kept from being closer.
