Science does not show that there is a gene that causes homosexuality. They have not shown that people have no free will and can not control or "choose" their sexual activities.
This is simply fake science promoted by those with an agenda.

Over 80% of homosexuals were sexually molested as children.

These people believe in fake science when it pleases them, the only science they reference are papers submitted to psychology journals. No Genetic Paper has been submitted.

It may not be a choice 100% of the time but it certainly is a choice some of the time. The choice is just more obvious to/for some.

Having homosexual proclivities likely isn't a choice. Just as though I'm sure being inclined towards kleptomania, alcohol abuse or pedophelia isn't a choice. Who would choose these habits?
But acting on those inclination very much are choices.
And all of these things can be overcome where there's the will.

Whenever a liberal wants to prove a point they refer to “science”. “Settled science” which changed with the liberal agenda. Global cooling and a new ice age in the early 70s. When that did not work out it became global warming. When that didn’t work out it became climate change. In each instance it was “Settled Science” and those that disagreed were anti science. Seems the global warmers disagreed with the global coolers and now the global climate changers are disagreeing with the global warmers.
The need to buttress the gay agenda needs ‘settled science” to prove that those science deniers are actually Neanderthals.

What an overdone story. The MSM knows this stuff resonates with young people especially and serves to create a caricature of Republicans as oppressors of gays, minorities, and women. Once the caricature is in place and becomes kind of a social norm in their little groups, they’ll never explore any genuine conservative ideas.

It's settled science just like climate change. Ask Obama — he knows.

Ben Carson has just created quite a potential mess. By bringing this issue up, it puts it back on the table on federal level. For the current candidates, it could've been left to the states and to the courts, and that's all they had to say.
He should drop out. If he wants to be serious about running for office, he should've started with the HOR, the US Senate, or something on the state or local level.

The entire notion of “sexual orientation” was invented in the last century. No previous society had any such idea that people were defined by their sexual preferences. Their actions, yes.

Exactly. Homosexuality is a label for a cluster of sexual behaviors. Until a person engages in those behaviors at best they are potential homosexuals. If one assumes that there is such a thing as individual free will then. with the exception of rape, one must make a conscious choice to engage in that behavior.

It’s not science - it’s liberal doctrine.
It is science in the same way that the global warming/climate change scam is science.

While it is possible that one may or may not have a choice on one’s preferences (and I’m not conceding that it is), one always have a choice on one’s actions. Since this behavior is defined by action, it is a choice.
Furthermore, if one cannot control his impulses, this is a sign of a more serious mental problem.
