The most popular speaker at the 2015 Conservative Political Action Conference was not a politician, but rather Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson.
Robertson received a thunderous applause that brought the audience to their feet Friday as he accepted the Andrew Breitbart Defender of the First Amendment Award.
And in his remarks, that ran 20 minutes long, the polarizing reality star focused on one thing in particular - sexually transmitted diseases in America.
---snip---
'It is the revenge of the hippies! Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll have come back to haunt us in a bad way,' he stated.
He then went on to tell that audience that it only takes '30 seconds' to get genital herpes.
Then, he said that the only way to end this was for a man to marry a woman or a woman to marry a man, and to stay faithful.
'You want a godly, biblical, medically safe option? One man, one woman, married for life,' he said.
Staying faithful? LOL!
No one is faithful anymore. Husbands CONSTANTLY cheat on their wives and wives CONSTANTLY cheat on their husbands.
More than 1/3 of Americans have V.D. right this minute?
From that article...
“One of the more concerning findings was that there are nearly 20 million new infections each year, and half of those occur among young people (aged 15 to 24).”
“Eight STDs were included in the analysis, conducted by researchers at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They included chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B virus (HBV), herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2), HIV, human papillomavirus (HPV), syphilis and trichomoniasis.”
“All sexually active gay and bisexual men should be screened at least once a year for syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV. Those who have multiple or anonymous partners should be screened more frequently for STDs (preferably three- to six-month intervals). In addition, those who also use illegal drugs, particularly methamphetamine, or whose partners use drugs should be screened more frequently.”
I skimmed the CDC for some numerical charts (existing cases vs. new cases, etc.) but didn’t find one quickly

It could also be like abortion and divorce. Some people have multiple STDs and are counted multiple times in the overall.

‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson just gave an epic speech about Jesus and STDs ^
Notice how liberals are never polarizing or extreme people? The low IQ voters appreciate that.
Pray America is waking
Married nineteen years here. Neither of us have been unfaithful, nor ever will be. We stood in front of God when we married, and we take those vows very seriously.
I think you are correct. The CDC statistics are usually reported as the number of cases of disease and not numbers of all infected people. In reality a person with one type of STD would also most likely have several other types, thus you get multiple cases of STD in one person.
Or annually re-infected persons.
By this author’s logic? no one who has ever sinned can call sin a sin.
The ever present unbeliever’s uninformed Biblical reference for us “not to judge”.
Pathetic!
Thanks for posting those.
Plenty of my friends are faithful to their spouses.
I have been married for 23 years, have 4 children and have been through many trials in life. I have never cheated on my wife nor has she on me. I enjoy her company now more than I did years ago. We grow closer every day that passes.
I remember Joesph when temptation rears its ugly head:
“how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
I started dating my wife when I was 15. We were married when I was 19. We have grown up and now will grow old together. I can not imagine my life without her.
If you think this is funny or pitiful you are the one that is to be pitied.
If you need to understand why the blacks are so high in STD’s, make yourself watch The Maury Show for about 1 month.
When a young black woman is bringing in over 8 men to test to see who is the daddy of her 5-6-or 7 year old child, then you get a look at the morals of the black teens.
One show about 3 months ago had an 18 year old black male being tested to see if he was the father of a 6 month old that had a ‘mother’ aged 16.
The male proudly proclaimed that he already had 18 children!!!! His own age was 18!!! This kid was his, also. So now there are 19 kids being paid for by your taxes & mine. He kept saying ‘I take care of all my kids’.........I seriously doubt that he can take care of ONE—much less 19.
I am 75 yrs old. I never knew a white person with that many kids. Especially at age 18/
God didn’t create us perfect...
He gave us free will so we can make the choices that will define our souls.
The devil taunts us with the lie that to challenge his filth we must be perfect. Liberals have picked up his mantra. Consider the source...

I think it’s wonderful that you and your wife have a strong and loving relationship. Not everyone can find that one special person.
I know that there are faithful couples but all I ever hear or read about are cheating spouses who join groups like Ashley Madison.com or who meet up with someone they’ve been conversing with on Facebook.
I’ve never had a serious relationship because I refuse to set myself up for rejection and heartache. I’ve been treated like dirt in the past and I’m not going to allow that to happen ever again. Uh,uh. I’m sick of being a reject.
That is so true.
You are 75, so you were born as WW II raged in Europe, and you were 1 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. You were a little boy when the atomic bomb was dropped, and you had your teen years in the 50's under President Eisenhower. You remember the day JFK was shot, and where you were when you heard the news. You were a young man in the 1960's, and saw cultural and political upheaval in America. You were in your late 30's when you saw men walk on the moon. You lived through the energy and economic crisis in the 70's, and the inflation and malaise of Jimmy Carter. You were in your 40's during the Reagan years, and your 50's as the age of Clinton sowed the seeds for so much of the destruction we see in America today. As a man in your early 60's, you saw the World Trade Center fall and the Pentagon aflame. Seven years after 911, America elected an un-vetted Muslim named Barack Hussein Obama to the White House. America has fallen, morally, economically, militarily, and spiritually.
You have had quite a life, and seen so much. It is good that you knew America when she was still good, and prosperous. Nothing seemed impossible for us. Today, we are $18 Trillion in debt, and we have a lawless President who is destroying our nation.
I have learned, in the last 10 years of my life, to put less and less trust in politicians, and more and more trust in God. I get less discouraged that way, and I have a hope that cannot be extinguished.
Bless you.
Duct Dynasty
Amen to that!

Speaking for yourself? Thankfully, others do not follow in those footsteps...
I’m not married nor will I ever be. Marriage is a wonderful thing but I’m not interested in it.
If you read my comment below you’ll see what I’m getting at. Not everyone is unfaithful but all I ever read or hear about is rampant infidelity. It just seems to be the norm these days.
