Fox News host Greg Gutfeld will be developing a new weekend program for the cable news network with a bit of an edge to it, with a whimsical nature and political satire.
Fox announced the new show for Gutfeld, currently in development, in a press release today. Fox News EVP of Programming Bill Shine said, We are confident that Gutfelds distinct perspective and knack for humor will start a valuable dialogue and be a refreshing addition to the weekend line-up. The show, Fox says, will focus on his strong libertarian values and social commentary.
However, this new role for Gutfeld means he will be leaving Red Eye, the late night Fox show hes hosted since 2007. Fox News says a variety of rotating guest hosts will fill in during the transition period. Gutfeld will continue to co-host The Five and regularly appear on The OReilly Factor.

What is Bill doing these days?
It was never the same without Bill, and TV’s Andy Levy as the ombudsman.
And no more leg chair:(

That fag was funny ass hell.
His career should revived and Greg his grateful companion
Kewel story
I like him and his schtick
I never understood why Bill Schultz left. Money? Tired of the insults? What ever happened, I watched less. RED EYE should have been on at 11PM, to beat the living SHIT out of Jon LIEbowitz and that slimeball Colburt. It could have changed the young demographic mindset, just by default--less people would have watched the Daily Shmoe and the Colburt Report. Non-moves like that make me believe in conspiracies.
I never understood why that was never done. O'Really and the others wouldn't like their repeats moved an hour up?
I think success ruined Bill’s style. He wasn’t dependable or capable of handling the situation.
I admit....if I had to go off to a desert isle and had only a chance to pick one guy to come along for conversation....I’d pick Bill.
Huckaphony replacement.
Rising star. Gut is everything Jon STewart is not—witty, creative, fun and passionate.
Yup. I have it on at work but rarely listen anymore.
I dislike The Five as well. I find it a shallow, predictable competition for laughs, especially Gutfeld. I just don’t find his humorous at all - he seems very self absorbed and juvenile....and watching Kimberly Guilfoyle and her bouncing leg is a bore.
Perhaps Gutfeld one day will replace BOR on “The Factor”. Wishful thinking, perhaps. Gutfeld is brilliant and far more honest (in a very unique way) than BOR (an arrogant showman and a hypocrite). I think the BOR successor may be Laura Ingraham.
That's pretty funny.
I did like that set up better. Its a shame the show was not on at 11 pm instead of ole blowhard.
The show lost a lot with "The Five"(booo)also, but it definitely wasn't the same after the format change. The flaming lib, the ombudsman and chubby Greg(+ the legs chair)...great format, fun to watch.
...all good things...
BTW, favorite guests...Mike Baker, Gavin McInnes.
