Uhura caught her breath. Im so sorry, Mr. Spock! she said. The image
She began to laugh again. I
am
sorry! She redoubled her effort at control and finally achieved some measure of it. Between gasping breaths, she said earnestly, I could
almost hear the captain give the command: Eyebrow on stun, Mr. Spock

Nimoy was a fine stage actor as well. I saw his one man show “Vincent” about Vincent Van Gogh. In it he actually played Van Gogh’s brother Theo who told the story of Vincent Van Gogh. He was very good.

Ok two bits of insider trivia....
First the Spock Vulcan character ...Many know the Gene Roddenberry used to be LAPD...and he was a major fan of the famous chief Parker he worked with him
Parker personality was old school taciturn totally rational logical absolute personal integrity and to what some might think somewhat cold blooded white anglo-saxon Protestant Conservative Republican in the Thomas Dewey tradition.... while Roddenberry was a liberal he deeply admired Parkers strong headed rationality and personal integrity.....the whole Spock Vulcan character and philosophy start is based on Parker a Conservative and how a Liberal that admired him saw him...logical rational.great personal integrity but sometimes heartless cold blooded and a bit of a tight ass.
On Nimoy.. he was was not Spock.. and was wild sometimes....the rather famous movie from the seventies Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice is a based on a true story and Nimoy is the Ted character

Fun Fact: The Vulcan hand gesture Spock used--Leonard Nimoy made that up, recalling the rabbinic gesture of blessing in the Name (haShem). That's how the "Sh" letter looks in Hebrew. True story. Fascinating.

What I remember from the Star Trek series is the intense social programming. Human like non human adversary races made people feel more comfortable with the multicolored culture that was being shoved down our throats. Generally lots of deconstructing of the Western Culture.

RIP, Mr. Nimoy. I remember him in “Outer Limits” and “Mission Impossible,” both shows did have Star Trek ties. I know there are others too. LL&P, Mr. Nimoy.
