Ken Cuccinelli
Senate Conservatives Fund President Ken Cuccinelli calls Senate Republicans decision to push Homeland Security funding that includes money for President Obamas amnesty a total surrender that proves GOP leaders really dont have any backbone.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., decided earlier in the week to stop pushing a Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, appropriations bill that strictly forbids funding for Obama administration executive action on immigration in 2012 and 2014. With Democrats blocking debate, McConnell agreed to bring a clean bill forward in exchange for Democrat promises to vote on a separate bill to defund Obamas unilateral November action to legalize five million people in the country illegally. The latter bill has virtually no chance of passing.
So is this an example of Republicans letting Obama get away with an unconstitutional act, or was it the only realistic way to keep Homeland Security efforts funded?
Oh, its an absolute surrender, and surrender is the primary word that we have been able to associate with the Republican leadership since Election Day, Cuccinelli told WND. Can you point me to one time they have fought? No, you cant. What did they run on? Fighting. Well, if they had run on what they have been doing just in the last few months, there wouldnt be Republican majorities in the House or Senate.
He said theres an astounding difference between the Republican rhetoric in the 2014 midterm elections and what America is seeing now.
Senate leadership and House leadership by Republicans have failed to deliver what they promised. This is a very basic item. One of the two most important issues of the election, along with Obamacare, was the presidents illegal actions on amnesty, said Cuccinelli, who served as attorney general in Virginia

Truer words were never spoken.
It’s late. Freep on, my FRiends! And have a great conservative night!
They have plenty of backbone to implement their liberal agenda after lying to the electorate.
Cooch lost by a hair. He was counted our early on and didn’t get needed funds down the stretch that almost surely would have brought him victory.
Make that “counted out.”
The GOP establishment answers to the Chamber of Commerce and big corporations.
The Democrats answer to the unions and the Marxists.
Conservatives don't have a dog in this fight. We have a couple of new comers, but they will probably get bought off, just like the others.
Only the current evolution of Obama Republicans of the Uniparty could pass legislation to fund an agency tasked with defending the ‘homeland’, by including funds to reward those who break our laws, invade, and infiltrate the same ‘homeland’.
Heck; anyone who reads The Free Republic knows this. The question is what to do about it.
Agree with the general premise here, but the GOP went out of their way not to be very specific about anything leading up to that election. Fighting Obama and the Dems was definitely not a part of their agenda, and it has played out that way so far.
2016 will be a disaster for Republicans and a very low voter turnout.
Call things what they are. This is not a “clean” bill. It is a filthy bill. It funds illegal activities. It funds a dictatorial Executive ruling by decree, and Executive encroaching on the Legislative. This is a filthy rotten destructive bill.
Hoyer called McCarthy a coward. It looks like Cuccinelli and Hoyer definitely know their enemies.
Obama gets away with so much because he always gets away with it. The republicans lie because they always get away with it.
He is a loser. I used to live in Virginia and this is a guy out of step with most folks. Might stir up some fanatics, but unlikely to ever get anywhere. Not as bad as Santorum, but not worth time or money.
The Beltway types didnt want him to win, but disguised the fact they chose NOT to give him enough to win. It is perfidy, of course. But they do what they do because it helps them get what they want. Thats all that matters.
By fanatics, you mean those not like you. The question is who you are.
This man should have been our Guv.
instead we’re stuck with Clinton’s Bag Man
