Do we finally get to read what’s in it, or — as we become more like the Soviet Union every day — are they to keep the law secret?

If you like your freedom of speech, you will be able to keep your freedom of speech. Period.
If you like your internet, you will be able to keep your internet. Period.
No one will take them away. No matter what.

"We cannot have gatekeepers who tell us what we can and cannot do and where we can and cannot go online," said Jessica Rosenworcel, one of the FCC's three Democratic commissioners. "We cannot have a two-tiered Internet with fast lanes that speed the traffic of the privileged and leave the rest of us lagging behind." No, we cannot have industry deciding who the best customers are and maintaining profitability. We need the government to make sure everything is fair, equal and nuetral.
We are doomed. Free Republic to soon be nuetralized.

so the gatekeeepers become govt and then they tell us where we can and can’t go. and have nsa hack the sites they are against. and then we are all forced to pay the equivalent added tax of an internet universal service fee too.

The Obamunists aren’t even trying to hide the rush to totalitarianism now.
In reality, why should they?
It’s not like thousands of us are out in front of the White House, protesting this.

Uh-huh......and the vans that used to roam around direction finding 10-8-heads with linear amplifiers on their citizens-band (odd name, that)? The chopped out sections of the bandwidth in bearcat scanners, protecting us from ourselves? The radio bandwidth recovery project (almost like a land grab?) taking control of lightly used portions of the spectrum?
BFO....this is nothing more than a blatant grab for control.
It is certain......hey......get outta here....what.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

In a party-line 3-2 vote, the Federal Communications Commission moved to embrace an approach advocated by President Obama to treat the Web like a utility in order to prevent major companies such as Comcast or Verizon from slowing, blocking or creating toll roads for peoples access to the Internet. Dont worry!
Some Freepers told us that this was going to prevent Comcast from charging us to get to FR.
Maybe they can pull their heads out of their ass long enough to elaborate here.
