Pursuant to my earlier point about why liberals hate Governor Scott Walker with supernova fury: the Wisconsin State Senate passed a right-to-work law on Wednesday, sending it on to near-certain passage in the Assembly and signature by You Know Who.

And the beauty is big labor is not coming back. Now that workers have been freed from their extortionist union masters they will never return.
Let the others talk about how illegal immigration is lovely, spout about economic theory and pout at foreign funerals...
Walker has already saved Wisconsin, now it’s time to save America.
I don’t think there is any other potential candidate who has done anything like what Walker has done on Wisconsin. Other GOP candidates have talked about it, but Walker has actually done it.
That alone gets my support.
I am not anti-union. Unions are a means of peaceful assembly and are protected under the 1st amendment of the Constitution .... as long as participation is voluntary.
Likewise, doing business with the individual or the union is an assembly for the purpose of doing business. It to should be voluntary. If a business wants to work with the union, fine. If not, the business should not be forced to work with the union.
The same protection that you as a consumer enjoys to be able to engage, or not engage, with any business should apply equally to all.
One narrative I haven’t seen yet is the one that calls Walker a quitter for not finishing college. Smearing someone for not having a college degree is not a good look, but labeling someone a quitter is less offensive to the unwashed masses.
One state at a time. Workers will demand similar benefits of those around them, even if it’s the right to work in a state nearby
Or, in the case of Illinois, they and their businesses will simply leave to go next door, where the grass not only looks greener, it is.

I AM anti-union. The organized labor movement from the beginning was a front for international marxism. It's rotten to the core.
Not only is he rolling it back, he’s showing that such rollbacks have great benefits.
THAT’s truly what the left fears about trying conservative ideas, because they work, and point out the failures of the left’s ideas.
Unions are OK as long as there isn’t a gov’t agent standing behind them pointing a gun at everyone,
or protecting the union thugs while THEY point guns, or fists, at everyone.

I know some here at FR are anti-union and others want to ban unions from existence. However, the rights of the citizens to assemble for peaceful purposes is a specifically protected right under the 1st amendment. Just like shareholders have the right to form a business which is very similar to a union in concept.
I didn’t say they should be banned ... just that I am opposed to them on principle. Your points about government agents and union thugs are well said.
That’s pretty much what “right to work” is -
taking away the union’s ability to use force
to take away the worker’s ability to choose to join or not.
After what he has accomplished in Wisconsin labeling him a quitter won’t be terribly effective.
I remember back in 2011 when Governor Walker started his crusade. I was impressed, but more amused as cynicism had a hold on me.
“Good for him” I said, not really believing he could beat Big Labor in it’s American birth place...
Well, of course, I was wrong. And we are the better for it.
A Harvard grad, no matter how Conservative is not so likely to be effective with his conservatism. A Harvard grad would want to Take A Position and have study groups and will delay implementation of stuff until the communist opposition can get properly organized and block or blunt it all. The College quitter was avoiding wasting time at college when he had other things to do. Quitting college recommends him to some of us.
