Nice try, but the political context of the question was clear and it’s the one Milbank mentioned: the conviction that “Obama is a Muslim from Kenya.”.....

Clear to whom? This is clearly dog whistling by the lap dogs in the MSM!

Re: the Milbank's hit column in the Washington Post today: Scott Walker’s insidious agnosticism [FR post] "This is insidious, and goes beyond last week’s questioning of Obama’s patriotism, because it allows Walker to wink and nod at the far-right fringe where people really believe that Obama is a Muslim from Kenya who hates America.........."

Keeping with the "Kenyan" theme they're pulling out of thin air:

“How unhinged has Howard Dean become? So bad that an MSNBC host had to gently walk him back off the ledge.

On Chris Hayes’ MSNBC show tonight, Dean claimed that Scott Walker says Barack Obama was “born in Kenya.” It took Hayes two attempts to break through Dean’s blather, but eventually he was able to politely point out: “I should note, you mention the Kenya thing, he has not been asked that.”...........Howard Dean says Scott Walker said Obama was born in Kenya

Why is this such a great concern to the LA Times? They don’t think religion should be any part of public life, and certainly not any part of governance. Why all of a sudden is it important to them that a presidential candidate from the opposing political party believe that the current president is a Christian, even when that president has stated publically that he’s a moslem?

How about because there is no evidence and Obama’s word is worthless?

“I cannot answer that for the president or any person, how can I know their heart? However, as he was raised in a Muslim country, attended a Muslim school, and identifies himself as Muslim in his autobiography, claiming he is not a Muslim is sentencing him to death. How can you ask me to do that?”

Barack Obama was born to an agnostic mother, a muslim father, and later raised by a muslim stepfather, and his Unitarian grandparents.

He claims his Christian identity is more genuine than those who were raised Christian since he came to the faith as an adult.

And who brought him to Jesus? That hateful quack, Rev. Jeremiah Wright (a former muslim).

Barack has boasted of the prophet of Islam, Mohammed. A man who is nothing but a false prophet to a genuine Christian.

Barack has referred to ‘the holy koran’ but I’ve never heard him refer to the ‘holy Bible’. The koran is just another cultist’s text to a practicing Christian.

He has said that Jesus is a historical figure and not the only way to salvation.

Barack Obama has been exposed as a liar with regards to ‘same sex marriage’. He said that marriage was a sacred institution for a man and a woman. David Axelrod confessed that Obama lied to get Black Christians to vote for him.

Remember, In the same exact breath that Obama declared he was a Christian he said that marriage was between a man and a woman and a sacred matter involving God.

“I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian…it is also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.”

Draw your own conclusions about whether Obama is a Christian.

Of course Obama is not a Christian. He’s a Marxist/fascist abortionist/homosexualist. Muslims wouldn’t claim him either.

Name a Christian who believes that the Muslim call to prayer is the sweetest sound.

Name a Christian that would even inadvertently say, You are absolutely correct that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith.

Next the enemedia will have us convinced that Hitler was a Christian too!

“I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.”

[Adolph Hitler, _Mein Kampf_, pp. 46]

“Even today I am not ashamed to say that, overpowered by stormy enthusiasm, I fell down on my knees and thanked Heaven from an overflowing heart for granting me the good fortune of being permitted to live at this time.”

[Adolf Hitler, “Mein Kampf”, Vol. 1, Chapter 5]

“The greatness of Christianity did not lie in attempted negotiations for compromise with any similar philosophical opinions in the ancient world, but in its inexorable fanaticism in preaching and fighting for its own doctrine.”

[Adolf Hitler, “Mein Kampf” Vol. 1 Chapter 12]

“Today Christians … stand at the head of [this country]… I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity .. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit … We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press – in short, we want to burn out the *poison of immorality* which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of *liberal excess* during the past (few) years.”

[The Speeches of Adolph Hitler, 1922-1939, Vol. 1 (London, Oxford
University Press, 1942), pg. 871-872]

Citing Walker’s complaint that reporters were asking him to “make statements about people that I haven’t had a conversation with,” Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank wrote:
“I’ve never had a conversation with Walker about whether he’s a cannibal, a eunuch, a sleeper cell for the Islamic State, a sufferer of irritable bowel syndrome or a grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. By Walker’s logic, it would be fair for me to let stand the possibility that he just might be any of those — simply because I have no personal and direct refutation from him.”

Sen. Robert Byrd (D-KKK) was a kleegle in the Klan and it never bother Mr. Milbank. I don't know why he'd throw out such charges against political opponents now.

In an interview with Christianity Today in 2008, Obama said that “accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals.”

Can we repeat that one a little louder, so all the world's miscreants can hear it? :)

Saw this on another site.

Walker should just say that he heard Obama say he didn't know what his own Reverend Jeremiah Wright was saying after sitting in his church for 20 years, so if Obama didn't know, then neither does he.

Let the media report THAT answer.

There are some people who are clearly sold out to Jesus, such as Billy and Franklin Graham among a few hundred million others, and it is easy to assume that they are Christians.

Then there are some people who openly claim to be Christians, whose works are such as to cause one to wonder whether they may or may not have received salvation, such as, to be honest, Bill and Hillary Clinton, among a few hundred million others. Until such people bring forth fruits that lead to repentance, their Christianity is between them and God—it may be there, it may not be there.

Then there are people like Barack and Michelle Obama, who, if they were atheists, or Muslims practicing taqiyya, would not speak or act any differently than they do now. To say that they are atheists or Muslims is a presumption based on circumstantial evidence, but to say they are Christians is also a presumption based on circumstantial evidence, though the evidence is much less for the latter.

But I would not say that Obama is not a Christian unless and until Obama says he is not a Christian. God grants Christians the authority to judge those who are within the church, not for the sake of condemnation but for the sake of bringing to repentance, but God does not grant Christians the authority to judge those who are outside the church (I Cor. 5:12-13), and Obama has not been inside the church for at least a decade now.

“One of the things that’s very important in this day and age is that we don’t use religion as a political tool and certainly that we don’t lie about religion as a way to score political points.” #YouLie!!!

Meanwhile here’s an older interview on faith where Obama was a bit less gung ho on Jesus being the only way to salvation.
