The U.S. government asked a federal judge Monday to lift a temporary hold on President Obama’s executive action to protect millions of immigrants from deportation, Fox News has confirmed.
Justice Department lawyers requested a “stay” to delay a federal judge’s decision to block Obama’s immigration order, which legally allows 5 million immigrants to stay in the countRy.

Fair enough. Now I request the federal judge to keep the hold in place for just a little longer than forever.

I am still amazed that a President of the United States is trying to protect Fraudulently Documented Foreigners from the very federal laws he took an oath to faithfully execute.
If I were a Judge reviewing the Admin. request I would have to delay the hearing for atleast 2 weeks for me to stop laughing at their fearmongering...
Bambi has been in office for what 6 years. He and the DHS have the right to decide weather to deport individuals. A right they have used liberally for those 6 years.
Now they are claiming there is an Emergency because a Judge haulted them from Legislating New Rights for Criminal Invaders?

It’s worse than that. Usurper Obama proposed his Dream Act to the congress and the congress voted it down or otherwise rejected it. Now he’s ignoring the actual laws that are on the books and is attempting to enforce his own Dream Act that he unconstitutionally “enacted” all by his tiny lonesome.
He won’t get it. IIRC, a panel of 3 of the 5th circuit could get first shot at it after that, and depending on the makeup of the panel, they could rule for or against the president. An en banc ruling would be the entire 5th circuit that is more conservative, so they would overrule their own panel if it decided something they thought was wrong. It would then go to the Scotus. We could be talking a year+ from now which would put it directly in the middle of the presidential campaign.
Yes - the 5th Circuit. All appeals/extraordinary relief from United States District Courts, in Texas, must go to the 5th Circuit. The administration is delaying the inevitably of losing again in the District Court, and the 5th Circuit. Then it will be on to the Supremes after Justice Scalia refuses to stay the order. I think Obama would like to have the DHS funding issue resolved in his favor before having his hand slapped.
Just my thoughts.

This is a very hot issue if they grant a stay....then that pretty much will give Obala carte Blanche to move forward and those earmarked for deportation will be here indefinitely...and more.
Actually this is interesting. With the DHS funding bill coming up, there is no reason to fund amnesty if it is being held up in the courts. They should just do a clean DHS bill and after this runs through the courts they can look at it again.
The judge pulling his decision means its back in the Republicans court.
Now it is just a matter of how long it takes for McConnell to cave.
