But this demographic is no longer getting brainwashed by network, Colbert and Jon Stewart.. that’s a huge relief in itself.
We rarely watch ‘live TV’ anymore. The only show we watch ‘live’ is The Walking Dead, but we’ve considered just watching it an hour later to skip all of the commercials.
Technology has given the entire business model of TV a REAL problem. I don’t buy any of the crap they show to us on commercials anyway, so they aren’t losing anything by me. lol
That’s why advert rates for sports have been so strong. Tthe only thing folks are watching live.
I’m watching them on Viki.

That was my only pain point in cutting my cable.
Enter Buffalo Wild Wings (and other sports bars like it).
I spent many Sunday afternoons during the past football season at one of those places, with a gazillion large screen TVs, sipping some microbrew beers at the bar with all the hamburgers, fries and chicken wings I could handle.

Amen. Otherwise, we're just amusing ourselves to death.
TV is sponsored by the body mortgagers.
And 90% of sports advertisers are for “insurance” body/ movement mortgages.

Ooma is VOIP??? Where do you get your improved internet?
Die, you polluted, archaic, propaganda-spewing garbage machines!
How about this — put someone on the air that anyone but a moron would want to watch, and fill the non-broadcast channels with stuff that is either re-runs or unfit for broadcast TV.

As SamAdams76 notes: there are other ways to see those sports, and in ways more rewarding & meaningful than opening the portal for lots of other crap to pour into your home & head. Go to a bar or friend’s home.
Some streaming services like AppleTV are starting to carry subscriptions to major sports - dump the ads, pay less, and get far more & better content.
