The New York Times has devoted enormous resources to covering this controversy - more than 40 articles, including a 5,200-word piece by three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Walt Bogdanich -- probing the legal processes that have cleared Winston. But the newspaper’s coverage has been characterized by the same selective and agenda-driven presentation of the facts it faults Florida authorities for exhibiting.
The accuser, anonymous until last month, has now publicly identified herself and told her story in “The Hunting Ground.” Her name is Erica Kinsman. In her version of events, she was not only raped by Winston but also mistreated by her university and the criminal justice system in order to protect a nationally famed athlete. This is what The Times' coverage would lead readers to believe. But The Times has excluded a large body of evidence that undermines Kinsman’s credibility and supports Winston.

I am no fan of Winston, but I find it interesting that when you Google “ Erica Kinsman” you get 100 photos of her dressed like a whore. Oops, I guess I was slut shaming. How awful of me.

I’m not a fan of Winston either, and I’’m less of a fan of the NYT, but I don’t think your reasoning is clear on this. The facts not reported by the NYT indicate she was promiscuous with black athletes, and this was another hook-up, and this time she ended up feeling cheap and used. Read the article.
I don’t believe any reasonable and objective person can come to the conclusions that (a) Winston is not an idiot or(b) that Kinsman was forced into anything.
Isn’t the same girl that posted on her Facebook page about all the black football players that she had sex with?
Typically racist NY Times... Oh that’s right, they’re not racist... Only Republican’s can be racist. If Winston were white, would they be so concerned?
It is apparent that the Kinsman family has been humiliated by their precious lily white daughter's whoring with black athletes, and are seeking revenge. I do feel sorry for them, but the evidence indicates that the blame rests with their daughter.
I read the whole piece. I didn’t see anything in there about her being promiscuous with black athletes in general. I will assume you’ve read that elsewhere. So the question then becomes why this time did she cry rape? Her story is shifting and full of holes no doubt but if she engaged in this behavior on a regular basis why call this one encounter rape?
I find myself not believing her but until i read your statement that question never came to my mind.
Does anyone really think that the star quarterback of a football factory has trouble getting laid, and has to resort to rape or coercion?
I think they guy is a few cards short of a full deck, but he’s not a rapist. Of course, the universities have defined rape so broadly that anyone can be accused.
A roofie case, not unlike the serial roofie cases associated with Bill Cosby. The order of vilification is, from worst to less worse, is, ‘Islamophobia’, NFL, ‘homophobia’, ‘racism’, ‘sexism’.

It’s in the 200 pages of investigative materials released by the FL State Attorney to the public and doubtless known to the NYT. The police investigation and rape kit by the hospital showed the presence of other semen in her underwear of two others. One was later identified by the SA investigation as her “boyfriend”, a Kent State QB. Kinsman wouldn’t cooperate by ID’ing either one of them. Read the comments to the article, which allude to other things that will come out if she’s foolish enough to bring a civil suit after 3 bites at the apple already.
