There is an old saying in the military: “When the balloon goes up...” This song is about 99 of them going up at the same time along the Fulda Gap.

Would they have preferred EAST German Angst?

This was the movie that made Kevin Bacon a star, a male version of the highly successful “Flashdance” from the previous year. This was an era when studios made sure there was a commercial song in the movie that could be turned into a video that would function as a trailer for the film. Kevin was even around for the remake three decades later.
