Wondered why you just disappeared! LOL!
Kind of poignant to see Linda McCartney on that video. :(

Internet Explorer died. Tech Support at Microsoft uninstalled a bunch of junk that was infecting IE. I spent about 3 hours on the phone as they cleaned up my box. I had no idea I had so much garbage installed on my machine.
Phil Collins was in and out of this band during the Eighties. This was one of their biggest.
I'll be back tonight for the second part of February 1984. Cue the Rockumentary theme!
I’m soooo glad I have gone all MacBook. I have fewer issues to deal with now.

Yes he does. :-)
Cue the Rockumentary theme!
What I loved about this song is that its bi-tonal. The bass line, which is played without variation throughout the song, is in D minor. The song itself oscillates between F Major and D minor, but the bass line remains constant. During the chorus, you hear the song in the major and the bass line under it in the minor. That may still be illegal in some states.

This was the year of the Olympics, and this man, who had been around since the first wave of the British Invasion, was still going strong. This is haunting, a great tune.
This is a good example of West German angst, as the increasing tensions of the Cold War before Gorbachev caused a great many Europeans to wonder if Reagan was going to get them all killed. This is a product of its era.
