Obama Calls for Expansion of Human Rights to Combat Extremism
NYT ^ | February 19, 2015 | By Peter Baker

WASHINGTON — President Obama on Thursday called on nations around the world to expand human rights, religious tolerance and peaceful dialogue as they struggle to combat a spate of terrorism that has recently struck places as far afield as Australia, Canada and Europe.

In an address to world leaders on the final day of his summit on violent extremism, Mr. Obama said that poverty and political grievances fuel alienation that can lead to bursts of killing like those seen in Paris, Copenhagen, Sydney and Ottawa. In addition to building up security forces, he said nations must “put an end to the cycle of hate” through opportunity and freedom.

Yet another example of Obama's war on satire.

The whole nastiness of WWII could have been avoided if we had just had more outreach to the Nazis. Oh well live and learn.

So we’re going to have both “hug a fag” and “bow to a muzzie” day??

I wonder how THAT would work? Do the "gays" have to bow to the muzzies and do the muzzies have to hug the "gays"?

so the way to stop mass murderers is to get a bunch of non-murderers together and talk about tolerance

For the media to actually print this garbage and not question him tells me the media still has not woken up.

As for bozo the clown. All I can say is that he is a F-IN idiot who seems stuck on his college community views.

I’d laugh but what you have written is not far from the truth.

Homosexuality, cross dressing, bringing in illegals and minorities is all this fairy boy cares about.

What gets me is that there are still people today and the media who still defend and support this pathetic little weasel.

"Expansion of Human Rights"

Another meaningless liberal mantra. Especially laughable when the people he's defending are the worst offenders of human rights since Attila the Hun.

No evidence to support this, plenty of evidence to show muslim terrorists have left their jobs and gone to get another job with a group called the Islamic state and not a frigging peep from the media to call this crap out.

Obama is full of it. He is just attempting to protect Muslims from backlash the best he can. Note that his biological father was a devout Muslim, his step-father was a devout Muslim in Indonesia. And Obama’s formative years were spent in Muslim environment in Indonesia.

The “poverty” excuse is a big straw man. There are 3 times as many Christians, Buddhists and Hindu’s in this world compared to Muslims. And there are more poor people in Hindu India than the rest of middle-east combined. So where are the Hindu terrorists? There are 900 million poor Buddhists in China. Where are Chinese terrorists? There are millions of Christians right here in United States below poverty line. So, where are the Christian terrorists?

The only common thread among 99% of chopping heads off with a unsanitized knife, burning people alive in cages, and killing of civilians is done by one religion...the religion of peace, Islam.

Not meaningless at all, actually. They have a very specific set of new "Rights" in mind... they've been pushing the same theme for decades, across many cultures and continents. The usual list includes some or all of the following:

1. Right to a job (meaning government gets to decide who works where, and who gets paid what) and a decent wage (meaning that government decides who gets paid what, since, you know, price-fixing always works out so well in the end)
2. Right to decent housing (meaning that government will decide who lives where)
3. Right to medical care (we no longer need an explanation about how government over-reaches here, thank you ObamaCare)
4. Right to a "good education" (putting the feds even more in charge of what is "good", what is "equal", what is "science", what is "important to know" (rather than teaching how to think), what is required knowledge "for health and safety" etc etc etc.)
5. Right to a "safe environment" (code for "only government can have access to firearms")
6. Right to not be offended (ie, only government may decide what can be said... ie, Free Speech is nullified, making elections become even easier for the jackboots...)

They then run with the "Right to not _____" theme until every Natural Right is gone... as if the above isn't enough for their totalitarian utopia already.
