On Wednesday, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush reiterated that immigration reform is hugely important for America even though the countrys middle class, as Bush acknowledged, is getting more squeezed.
Immigration reform for our country is so hugely important. Race is not a national identifier in this country. Were 34 flavors. Were as diverse as diverse can get, Bush said during a question-and-answer session after his foreign policy address at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. And that is a huge strength looking over the horizon right now, where multiculturalism kind of creates pockets of despair in Europe in many cases.
Bush, who has been praised by top GOP 2016 donors for leading on the amnesty issue, said the United States has this potential of being young and dynamic again and, if Europe embraced that similar kind of approach, I think that they could see some economic growth as well.
But his response to an audience members question on the permanency of poverty displayed that his support for massive comprehensive amnesty legislation may make it tougher for Americans to move up the economic ladder.
Bush addressed the stickiness of poverty and the dramatic increases in innovation and exponential increases in automation that are making many more jobs obsolete. Senators like Alabamas Jeff Sessions (R-AL) have also addressed how automation increasingly threatens American workers. Bush said the increase in automation is a huge challenge for policymakers, especially since Americas policies have worked to provide material benefits to people in poverty, but they havent worked to lift them out of poverty and allow Americans in poverty to have the capacity to achieve earned success.
Bush spoke about the permanency of poverty, ...

An increase (illegal immigration) in the supply of a good or service (labor) decreases the price (wages) for the good or service.
It’s Econ 101.
Jeb Bush is in favor of cutting your wages*.
Any questions?
*If you have any arguments, first review the Substitution Effect of alternative labor or capital.
I’m thinking nominating Jeb pretty much guarantees a vigorous 3rd party challenge.
Ironic that Hillary would be the 3rd Clintonian plurality win.
My 17 year old son has a bunch of applications in for the summer and after school and can’t get work due to illegals coming in and taking the jobs now.
Nope, not voting for this guy, ever!
Same here. Yesterday I said on here I have voted in every election even the local ones , but if this clown gets the nomination I will not vote for the first time in my life. I was told off one freeper that I was giving the Dems a vote. Well guess what he is a Dem.
exactly
What is it with these people who hate seeing this country a white country based on Christian Judeo principles?
So be it. But the Republicans will NOT get my vote unless they put up an actual conservative as the nominee.
I do not care how much money he raise, or if Satan, or even Elizabeth Warren runs against him. I will not vote for a Bush who speaks Spanish at home, and has a Mexican wife, and the whole family is for amnesty.
Better vote for the democrats directly than to endure the death of a thousand cuts.
Basically the same thing happened in 2012, except instead of a third party, it was not voting at all.
The votes want illegal aliens to go home.
The only chance the GOP has is to tell the money to accept 'half a loaf' for a change, or continue fooling those with the votes. But both former will never happen and the latter is increasingly unlikely.
Conclusion - you are absolutely right.
Good bye Jeb....
And that is a huge strength looking over the horizon right now, where multiculturalism kind of creates pockets of despair in Europe in many cases.
Well, Jeb, you idiot, does not that statement contradict your entire pro-amnesty position?
Doesn’t Canada have a requirement in their immigration policy that requires the immigrants to have needed work skills and to deposit a significant amount of money into a Canadian bank; enough to ensure that they will not be drawing Canadian welfare benefits?
I doubt Bush will make it past the SC primary. Far too many people oppose his CC and amnesty positions.
Don’t leave the presidential slot blank....just write in Ted Cruz. That’s what I’m going to do if a RINO is the nominee.
Plus, there may be down line candidates on the ballot for other offices.....federal, state and local.....that are worthy of your vote.
“..... his support for massive comprehensive amnesty legislation may make it tougher for Americans to move up the economic ladder.”
But you don’t care Jeb, do ya? American Citizens be damned, your buddies all want their cheap foreign workers, and that’s what’ll take to keep those big campaign contributions rolling in. Hey Jeb, if some cheap foreign labor is a good thing, why not bring in a lot of it? Why not just allow ALL Mexicans and foreign nationals to just cross the border at will?
FUJB!
Only if idiots vote for Jeb because he has an R.
This tone deaf amnesty SOB Jeb Bush isn’t qualified to be elected dog catcher.
It’s worse than the middle class being squeezed; when these tens of millions are allowed to vote, America will be a third-world, Marxist, Spanish speaking country for good.
A LOT of folks just hit the R button, just like a lot of others hit the D button. No way is any R POTUS candidate going below 30% of the popular vote.
“Translation: My donors love cheap labor. Everything else be damned.”
Let us make a resolution not to give these C of C types any more tax cuts or benefits. Until the border is secure and until their corporate media stoops smearing us and until they have a hand on this country’s massive spending it should be no no no no to everything they want. We need to spend our political capital on us and not on these treacherous, double dealing feckless backstabbers.
