As the Islamic States brutal atrocities continue to shock the world, one of the recent developments that has not been explored in-depth is the terror groups recently released seventh edition of its English-language magazine titled Dabiq.
The document features an article that touches upon the end-times theology that experts claim drives the Islamic States ongoing rampage, with the text describing Islam as the religion of the sword, not pacifism, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.
The article also presents numerous verses from the Koran as well as prophetic hadiths that highlight Islams reliance on the sword in fighting its enemies, the organization explained. In that regard, ISIS notes that the sword will continue to be drawn against Islams enemies until Isa (Jesus) kills the Dajjal (the Antichrist), after which, it adds, Islam and its justice will prevail on the entire earth.
CNN national security analyst Peter Bergen claims that Dabiq provides a key window into understanding the Islamic States ideology. Explaining the end-times theology that appears to be present in the aforementioned article, Bergen said that the terror group has an ideology of an apocalyptic cult that believes that we are living in the end times and that ISIS actions are hastening the moment when this will happen.

I don’t see anything in this article or related article that supports this title. It does say IS believes these are “end times”. Does the article assume that anyone believing in “end times”, even IS, believes in the return of Jesus?
Perhaps this article is an attempt to lump American Christians in with IS? That would not be surprising.
Islamic End Times prophecy interestingly mirrors the Revelation in the Christian Bible in many respects, just from the other sides perspective.
Correction, depending on what church you belong to, Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant, this is the week that begins the Holy Lenten season.
I’m sure they’ve opined on the issue. We could ask the White House. They know the inner workings of this stuff.
What?
So, VJ, a shiia, has destabilized the the whole ME so IS can anger Jesus enough to return, kill the Antichrist, and straighten out Islam?
Is Mr. Beck trying to bash Christians by the above article?
That question’s a little too far-ranging, even for me. What I am sure of is that this can’t end well.
One of my fears is that the next president, whoever s/he is, will have an even more overt Muslim presence in the White House.
No. I believe he's just trying to better explain Islam and what we have to deal with in trying to defeat them.
Thank-you for explaining it and have a good and blessed day!
Rather, the next President could pretty well be a devout Christian or born-again, you never know.
As an agnostic, you expressed one of my fears for this country.
Because we are a Christian nation it is hard for a practicing Christian to grasp what Islam is all about , as it is radically different than Christianity.
Christianity leads Christians to be trusting, forgiving and somewhat naive about Muslims intentions.
Christians may want to forgive and forget and pray for their oppressors but Muslims want us dead , and by barbaric means as written in their Koran and Hadiths.
As an Infidel don't look for compassion or forgiveness in Islam. It is not there.
You don't have to take my word, read the Koran and the Hadiths. -Tom
Christianity leads Christians to be trusting, forgiving and somewhat naive about Muslims intentions.
Most of the ones I know are not trusting. They see islam for the evil that it is.
But you’re correct for many of them. These people are usually liberals that call themselves Christians.
Right.
Never give up.
God’s in charge.
We just don’t know the future for certain.
It is truly unimaginable.
Indeed. I don’t understand why the women don’t take their children & flee. How anyone can convert or belong is beyond me.
What I mean by trusting, is Christians tend to believe other cultures have the same problem as us and are also more interested in family ,jobs , country etc. as well as religion.
Fundamental Islam dominates all of those concerns and they are a distant second.
Can you imagine praying 5 times a day every day of your life. You wouldn't be able to think much beyond your religion.
Fundamental Muslims can get a break from this praying if they are out killing us Infidels. -Tom
When Islam was invented, most of the Middle East was Christian, so there’s no surprise that it should have an altered interpretation of Christianity.
Beck’s point is how deeply Muslims believe things not immediately apparent to outsiders, and how the MSM/White House wants to cover up those beliefs.
When Mormonism was invented, most of America was Christian, so there’s no surprise that it should have an altered interpretation of Christianity. I believe Joseph Smith said as much.
They believe that Jesus will return, defeat this “dajjal” character, but then he will tell all the Christians to convert to Islam and follow Muhammed. Oh and he will kill all the Jews too.
“Some thing about him rising out of a well (probably the entery to tell)”
You’re confusing Mohammed with the Mahdi, and only Shiite Islam believes that stuff about the Mahdi coming out of a well.
Muslims believe Mohammed is already in heaven, having ridden there on a flying horse.
