State Department Spokesperson Marie Harf told Chris Matthews tonight that we cannot win this war with ISIS by killing them. She said we have to get to the root cause of why people are attracted to Jihad — you know like poverty, jobs, etc…
“We’re killing a lot of them and we’re going to keep killing more of them. So are the Egyptians, so are the Jordanians. They’re in this fight with us. But we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs…”

Here’s a little hint to our crack diplomats in the Obama State Department. Hold Turkey accountable. “NATO ally” Turkey provides the conduit by which recruits, supplies, medical care and communications pass from Turkey to ISIS. A competent President would have ended Turkey’s duplicity long ago if he were serious about destroying ISIS.

The jihadists will not miss Mecca. The Sauds maintain it as a tourist attraction for Moslems. The Hajj is still required even if Mecca is a glass hole.The buildings don’t really matter so much except the Ka’aba but they could do without that, to, because it would only be gone because Allah willed it. The Sauds are tearing down most of the historic structures outside of the Grand Mosque that have religious significance because of that religious significance. The existence of a house that Mohammed lived in was thought to attract reverence due only to Allah. So the house was recently torn down to make way for a hotel to serve the Hajji.
Who could forget the words of General Patton: "We cannot kill our way out of this war."
