Shortly after 2 a.m. on April 6, 2010, a guard at Salinas Valley State Prison noticed Alan Ager's cellmate trying to stuff something under a mattress. It was Ager, blood trickling from his mouth and a cloth noose tied around his neck.
The convicted child molester died 10 days later without regaining consciousness, his death earning his cellmate a second life sentence.
California state prisoners are killed at a rate that is double the national average and sex offenders like Ager account for a disproportionate number of victims, according to an Associated Press analysis of corrections records.

I’m sorry, I’m still more upset about the burning of the Jordanian pilot.

OK, it took me a minute to figure out what the “angle” of the article was. It’s pedophilia and, if it was legal, these inmates wouldn’t be killed. #amiright?

Should have knocked a year off his life sentence.

What really ticks me off is Wookie and her two spoiled freeloading brats going to Japan on vacation. Again, on our dime.
A child rapist getting justice? Sorry. That doesn't register on my care-o-meter.

On Fox’s “Gotham”, Detective Bullock would call it “a public service murder”.

his death earning his cellmate a second life sentence
Wonder if all of the anti death penalty people consider this? What do you do with someone serving a life sentence who murders a fellow prisoner or a guard? A second life sentence seems to be a waste of time and money.
To: artichokegrower
How sad for them.
Boo hoo.
