Well, the bustards said there would be “a price to pay”.
If there’s one state that needs nukes it’s Israel...
Yes but prior U.S. policy has been to not comment on the Israeli program. Now, with the cat out of the bag, assorted anti-proliferation legislation comes into play.
Countries have started wars for much less damaging attacks than this. Israel has Mossad. Hope all those agents out there are willing to die for their dear leader committing what we would consider Casus belli(or should).
It pales in comparison to the price the bustards, as you so elegantly put, will pay.
This is major. Now the U.S. can't do a thing about Iran (not that hussein would anyway) without doing something about the Israeli program.
Um, it was mainly Jews that invented the whole field of nuclear engineering.
Why would anyone wonder if Israel has nuclear weapons? They very likely have the most sophisticated weapons in the world.
It was a Jew that created the nuclear weapons tech that is most important to Israel, the Neutron bomb. This weapon’s existence means that Israel can defeat any invading army..they can even deploy them on their own soil if need be without harming their own people.
There simply is no defense against neutron bomb technology. It completely negates any numerical advantage an enemy might possess.
How can a neutron bomb be deployed on friendly territory without hurting friendly citizens?
Now that hussein has admitted it, measures against Israel may be taken under the auspices of assorted anti-proliferation legislation.
Altitude above ground and selective yield.
Do taxpayers have to fund the #Obamaleaks website???
The Muslim in the White Mosque strikes again.
How much longer will the world put with this dirtbag?
Friendlies sheltering behind reinforced concrete of 12 inches thickness or 24 inches of damp soil should be mostly unharmed by the radiation released by a 1kt neutron weapon going off at a distance of about a mile.
They’ll have to be evacuated by shielded APC afterwards, though.
Not so sure. Israel would have to be proven to have a weapon first and this documentation doesn’t seem to establish that they actually have them, only that they were trying to get them at the time.
I want to hear someone ask Obama if he thinks Iran could have them for decades without use at a press conference.
Not everyone can be behind 12 inches concrete or 24 inches damp soil, FRiend.
I would say using neutron bombs during a war on your own soil is a last ditch effort to turn the tide. If you considered doing it, you most likely have already lost.
Another option is the neutron bomb’s cousin, the bomb-pumped X-ray laser, which may now be more technologically feasible:

This is true, but if your civilians are in shelters like that, you can minimize casualties.
On the other hand, Israel is so small, they basically don’t have much choice - a lot of their weapons systems and defense plans *start* with having to start detonations on Israeli soil.
