Perhaps Christian awareness will catch up to the situation. The relatively “new” dispensationalism is about the only Christian philosophy on the market that is inclined in that direction.

...You already know that the exiles [that the Jewish people will have to go through after leaving Egypt until the coming of the Messiah] are four: Babylonia, Persia, Greece, and Rome. (The fourth, Rome, began during the 2nd Temple Period and apparently ended with the Holocaust.)
However, the Jewish people are destined further in the end of days to live in the exile of Yishmael, as mentioned in Pirkei DRebbi Eliezer, and in the Midrashim of our Rabbis, and in the Zohar in the end of Parshas Lech Lecha...
I sincerely hope this is just one more step to all the Jews returning to Israel. Then we can truly prepare for the Messiah’s arrival. Once he arrives, the Temple will be rebuilt and all false religions will abandoned. Then the world will live in everlasting peace under God’s true laws.
The exodus will become a tidal wave soon enough. From the perspective of the few Jews remaining in a couple of years, the choice becomes one of stay and watch all your friends leave and quite possibly be murdered, or move and start a new life elsewhere. In a place with better weather no less.
Given that the Jewish pessimists in Europe 75 years ago were the ones who lived, I don’t think its going to take much convincing for he remaining Jews to pick up and go.
And by their choice, by the things that sit on their shoulders... no excuse now
Never underestimate how much damage human self centeredness can do.
God has a difficult balance on His hands. He has promised to bless the Jews. But if they take blessings too much for granted, they begin to think it is about themselves and not about God. So they undergo terrible trials until they begin to think of God again.
“Bibi is not anxious to witness Holocaust II.....the MOOSELIM Jihad”
Nor am I. And let’s not fool ourselves: while it’ll come to Europe first, there is a fair chance it’ll be a problem here soon enough. I just think that the diference will be in the reaction.
There will be a handful who will stay in Europe despite the obvious danger. It was the same way in Germany in the 30’s. Most Jews left Germany long before the holocaust. Those who were left were the old, the poor who couldn’t get out, and the delusional.
You can’t fix delusional or stupid.
You probably already know this, but for those who don’t, dispensationalism is relatively new because the Church forgot the faithfulness of our God and tried to reinterpret the plain reading of scripture to fit the facts we knew at the time. When the prophets referred to Israel in the scriptures, they really meant Israel.
Prior to 1948 it was difficult to believe there ever would be an Israel again, after Babylon’s apparently final conquest of Judah in 587 BC. That’s understandable. There was no Israel for over 2500 years! The “experts” figured the prophecies about a renewed Israel must have referred to the church.
But, lo and behold, once again we have an Israel, just as the prophets foretold. Maybe right now it’s just a bare bones Israel, perhaps with muscle and sinew, but some day those bones are going to a new SPIRIT! I believe that will happen when they recognize Jesus as their Messiah.
This may not be that day. But Bibi’s call for the Jews to return to Israel is a beginning.
There is undeniably a special preservational spiritual power behind the Jewish people, and this is the God who will never welsh on a promise while forgiving many, many sins.
It is not an either-or story with Jews and Christians; it is both-and. They are destined to merge.
Yep! Completely agree.
Bible prophecy ping!
One thing I have noticed it is difficult to see Jews going for is the idea of God as personal Savior from sin. Without this pons asinorum being traversed, Jesus’ role makes no sense. Most Christians are aware that they cannot furnish enough obedience to God to ever put Him in the position of owing them His favor, but modern rabbinical philosophy posits the opposite, and often painfully so.
It is only when you’ve known you have really stepped in spiritual doo doo big time, and found God forgiving you for it to an amazing extent, that you can appreciate this aspect of God and yield to His salvation in gratitude. Otherwise you’re just going to be a big ball of spiritual pride. The story of David, who engineered the death of Uriah, is one such story.
“I further bet that this word got to OBIE and his pals prior to their announcement of their boycott of Bibis appearance before congress”
If Bib encourages US Jews to move to Israel, there goes a bunch of democrat voters and donors.
Only the spiritually serious would want to go, which means the politically conservative wing of Judaism. There isn’t any reason Obie would miss them.
I am not so sure as you that Obama is not “THE” antichrist. I think that you and I certainly agree that he is an antichrist, but I think there is good reason to fear that he might indeed be.
I enjoyed your post #73—very well stated. It’s always a special joy to come across a completed Jew—I’m witnessing to a potential one now—and how thrilling it is to contemplate the Scriptural promise we have of their future harvest. God has had to deal most severely with them these last two millennia to get their attention and overcome the barriers you mentioned, but since WW2 especially the stage is rapidly being set. And today Bibi is summoning them home.
“But Bibis call for the Jews to return to Israel is a beginning.”
I find it amazing. And inspirational. I’m sure the liberals have no clue how momentous - and actually non-political - this is.
oh, good point. perhaps I was hoping...
