The same day the White House announced that Islamic State terrorists’ only remaining American hostage was killed, President Barack Obama uttered a phrase that means “You only live once.”
The president was clowning around for a BuzzFeed video on Obamacare when he said, “YOLO,” a light-hearted moment that Fox News anchor Heather Childers called inappropriate and insensitive considering its timing. “The president says, ‘YOLO, man!’ And for people at home who may not know what that stands for, YOLO stands for ‘you only live once,’” Childers said on Friday’s show, talking specifically to liberal panelist Juan Williams. “Well you know who’s not alive, Juan, now? Kayla Mueller.”
Williams, of course, took the president’s side.
“It is not a matter of appropriate or inappropriate,” Williams said. “I don’t think it has any connection to Ms. Mueller’s sad demise. What we’re talking about here is a totally different issue, which is the president funning around in pursuit of trying to get more people to sign up for health care.”
Fellow panelist Mary Katharine Ham said that while the president has a tendency for poor optics, she was more concerned with the un-presidential nature of the interview.
“He does have a pattern of doing highly unserious things on the heels of very serious events, and I don’t think that is a great look for the White House,” she said. “On this one, I think I’m less concerned with the timing and more concerned with the sheer silliness of it.”
The only time anything is “inappropriate” to a liberal is when it is done by a conservative. They love to use the word, but it never applies to them.
You only live once and die once. But we all know where 0bama will spend eternity.

That wasn’t President Obama in that video. No purple lips, so it must have been a stand in.
I’ve noticed for about a year or more that the purple lips have disappeared. Occasionally there are photos used which are of 2012 or earlier; but the recent videos aren’t the guy with the purple lips. Particularly the one where he loses his temper and starts blurting out statements with a pronounced southern drawl!

That female reporter who interviewed Eric Holder last week and asked him “Would you QUACK for me?” should ask Obama. Obama would use his best Donald Duck voice, and happily quack a recital of The Battle Hymn of The Republic and upload it to Youtube if that was thought to entice more young people to sign up for Obamacare.
The one thing I will give Obama credit for is the ability to talk at the intellectual level of his followers. I really wish some elected Republicans could learn talk to people the way Obama does. The Republicans engage every conversation with political rhetoric, “The Republicans have a plan that will grow...” Zzzzzzzzz. Chris Christy seems to do the best, but then again, he is talking to the same base Obama is. I really wish he was a conservative. Republicans will always struggle with low information voters if they never learn to relate to people.
For a Moslem it is not inappropriate. Our Sultan is a Moslem.
Those of us who live around DC have sometimes had the opportunity to encounter Juan Williams in person. Even on the air, he is the one of the nicest people you ever want to meet. While I disagree with his defenses of Obama, I also believe that he is doing what he is paid to do — he is paid to take the left’s side whenever the right criticizes, much like Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View, who was paid to be the only conservative among proggs. His must be an increasingly hard job. I pray that he and a lot of the other skin-color or reactionary Democrat apologists finally repent about this disaster of a presidency and start to speak the truth.

Actually, I tend to agree, it’s frustrating when Williams feels the need to play devil’s advocate. I sense deep down he just might be conservative, it’s as if he doesn’t realize it, yet.

Yes, but what is he really telling his LIVs by putting out selfies and saying YOLO?
Republican voters tend to want to hear substantial things. So what if the RINO politicians dumb down the GOP message it’s still only gonna be “we agree with obama. We need to tax gasoline. We agree with obama. Your tax money is gonna pay for illegals to go to college.”
