President Bush correctly saw the evil for what it was. He understood the enemy

Actually, he didn't. He called the enemy a "religion of peace".

He understood what happened on September 11, 2001. He did something about it.

Not nearly enough.

GWB got it wrong, I thought. He didn’t blame Saudi Arabia. He didn’t make US borders more secure from invasion. The initiative should’ve been to keep maniacs out of the US and to support stable governments that renounced terrorism.

Saudi Arabia, as the nexus and active exporter of Whabbism is a significant component of the enemy. W was never up to addressing the issue.
